The Amazing Sidney Crosby (Sports Article)

I am not a real sports writer, but I have tried my hand at it, I hope it sounds alright.

The amazing Sidney Crosby

When the hope of an entire team rests on one players shoulders, it seems it would be over bearing. However for Sidney Crosby its an inspiration to keep getting better. Whether it's his face off, or penalty killing, he's mastered the art of Hockey. But even the masters have their droughts. Sid has been compared with Wayne Gretzky, a hockey legend, who also lost games, and got injured, but still gave it his all at every game. I have no place to say that Sid is the "Next One," but I believe I have place enough to say that watching him on the ice is breath taking.  

During the 2009 playoffs where the Pen's won the Stanley Cup, I watched Sid for the first time, and from that time forward I was hooked. Not only because I loved to watch Sidney Crosby play, but I loved the whole Pittsburgh Penguins team, and I loved to watch them play as a team. People hate Sid because he's being "Shoved down our throats," and as a Pittsburgh Penguins fan, I too have found it a little frustrating, yes Sid is the face of the Pen's as well as the NHL but without his team backing him he would be nothing and he knows that, and that's why I respect him on and off the ice 

At first I didn't want to be another Sidney Crosby fan, and tried not to be, but as I watched more games, I couldn't help myself. He was too good to regard as just another point in my playoff pool, and as I watched, my passion grew, I went from "I hate Hockey" to my father asking me when the next game was on. 

However I believe the Pittsburgh Penguins can win games without the teams many key players, however when the team is down 2-0 I find my ears perk up at Sid's name. 

Even Evgeni Malkin's name doesn't bring me as much hope as hearing: "Sidney Crosby has the puck," but even a true phenomenon of hockey has bad days, even weeks. I must stress in how much I believe in every player on the team, no matter how old or how young. They can and will step up to the challenge placed before them, but none will do it with more passion than Sidney Crosby, a man that lives and breathes hockey.
