A Sleepless Night

I wake up at night...
To gaze at your innocent face.
As you sleep like a child,
a frown on your face.
Your lips vibrate,
as you say something in your dreams...
I wonder what it is that you dream about.
I just want to kiss that frown out of your face...
You inch closer to me,
and wrap me in your hug.
A satisfied smile and a peaceful look...
You drift off in your dreams,
warming me in your embrace...
As i lie there, laying my head on your chest,
my cozy refuge from my own tempest....
A single tear runs down my cheek,
as i hold dearly to the love i can't have.
