===============================================================================

Corria's POV

I did as asked. I ate when he gave me food. I wasn't scared now. He wanted me alive, and that's what mattered.

I was growing in strength. A lot. Which meant that I could soon possibly bust free.

Yes, it could harm Zepitia, cause I figured he cared... In his own way.

"Why haven't you marked her yet!" a voice yelled through the cave, clearly angry. I curled tighter into a ball, my wolf body close to shivering.

"Because, Father," Zep murmured, "I kind of want her acceptance before hand." I herd the other man sputter for a moment.

"Fine," he sighed, "but son, you've got a week before we attack."

Oh no.

Cherry's POV

Paul held me tightly as Sofia cried and Stefan paced. I rubbed my tummy. Is this what my child had to look for? Would we have to worry like this?

Paul looked down at me, then sighed.

"Relax. Everything with be okay. Corria will be okay," he murmured. I nodded, but kept my mouth shut.

"Paul, how can you know?" Sofia asked after a sniffle. "How can you be so sure that she's going to okay? I mean, you've seen what damage those Rogues have done to an Alpha! She's a Beta's daughter! And still young!"

Stefan sighed and pulled her closer as she cried even harder. I looked up at Paul, nodding. It those Rogues had hurt me so badly, then Corria truly stood no chance.

Stefan's POV

I ran the border, searching for any sign of my daughter. She meant so much to me, and I hated just sitting around doing nothing!

Raven ran beside me. I felt her tense in response to my agitation.

"Stefan, what's-"

I froze, sniffing the ground. Looking up at my Alpha, I said, "This is where she went in." She frowned.

"Went in? You make it sound like she did it willingly?" Raven questioned. My tail drooped down to the ground.

"From her smell being on the ground, and her paw prints clearly in front of me, who's to say didn't just go with them?" I murmured, my voice soft.

Raven's eyes grew hard.

"She is your daughter, Stefan," she growled, "and if you really think that she would turn tail on us you don't truly know her!"

I just blinked at her as she went on.

"Another pack leader has been making trips here to HELP search for your daughter! So don't you dare suddenly think she's turned on us!"

Raven snarled, spun, and ran. I just stared at her dust trail.

Corria's POV

The moon hung high in the sky as I padded around the woods. Not five feet behind me padded another wolf. If I hadn't had weeks to get to know it, then I would not truly be able to see him.

Zep's fur was pitch black, which almost made him blend in with everything around him.

When he saw me gazing at him, he tilted his head.

"Nothing," I murmured softly, my voice still ruff from not speaking for very long. He sighed and shook his head. I padded forward, coming to a creek that separated my land from the Rogue's land.

Tilting my head down, I lapped up some water.

Zep's POV

As she sat there drinking some water, I allowed my self to relax. Corria wasn't going to run off. For about a week I had been bringing her here.

My father, after noticing that both packs were watching their borders ten fold now, he put his attack on hold until he knew that it was safe for us to sneak in and attack from within.

As I took a deep breath, I herd growling and paw steps.

"Corria!" Something slammed into me, knocking me over. I watched as another wolf ran to Corria. That's when I realized that was Raven.

The wolf that was coming after me again smelt almost like Corria... Oh, crap. That was her father. I snarled as he leapt at me.

We collided head to head, jaws snapping at each other. He tore into my shoulder. I gripped his haunches and ripped him off me.

When he landed, I dived for his throat.

"No! Zepitia! No!" I froze, mid bite, gazing up at Corria. She looked horrified, tears forming in her eyes. I pulled back and laid down, closing my eyes. This was it.

Corria's POV

Question after question was all that awaited me when Raven and my dad brought us home. I switched forms and paced in the living room.

Screaming echoed from the shed behind the house, and I cringed. Damien and my father were trying to get answers out of Zep.

When I herd another scream, something in me snapped. I pushed past Raven and my mother, shooting straight for the shed.

The door busted open, and the men froze, looming at me. At their feet was a body. And the body was barely breathing.

My inner wolf, who had been silent for a long time, snarled deeply. Her anger filled me, and I slipped under...
