   Chapter Nine – Bonding time

The past two days have been great. I think it’s almost been a week since the princes have been here and they told me that they will soon have to leave. Of course I knew that they would have to leave eventually. I mean they are the future kings of the kingdom and they will have to take over from their father eventually. It is their duty to their people.

The princes and I have grown closer together for a while now. Ever since that day I woke up in their bed. In their warmth and care. I had decided to give them a chance. We spent those two days together laughing, joking and talking. They were actually two great guys. There were a lot of things I didn’t know about them.

I don’t want them to leave. We’ve became like best friends and almost inseparable, as my mother says. I don’t think I can let them go. I haven’t had a best friend in a long time and it feels great to finally have one. Better yet I have two and they are irreplaceable.

“El are you okay” Prince Aiden said shaking me slightly. Tearing me away from my thought. He was staring down at me with his eyes filled with worry. Prince Asher was now looking at me once he heard his brother’s word.

 “I’m fine”

“I just kind of zoned out a little a while ago. Sorry” I assured him. He relaxed at my words but his eyes didn’t shift from worry. He stared in my eyes for what felt like forever, search for something.

“I’ve been calling your name for a long time now but you wouldn’t answer. I was so worried” he said in a sad voice. I didn’t hear him calling me. If I did, I would have answered him the first time. Is he sure he was calling me.

“I’m sorry. I was just thinking about something. Let’s finish watching the movie” I said turning to face the screen. Prince Asher, Prince Aiden and I were watching a movie in the home theatre like we’ve been doing for the past two days. I placed my head on prince Aiden’s shoulder getting comfortable. I pulled my blanket further up to my chin wrapping it carefully around me. We were watching the notebook and I had no intention in missing out anything.

I woke up to my head gently resting on a pillow and a thick blanket placed loosely around me. I sat up and rubbed my eyes, then observed the room. I was most definitely in one of the boys’ room.

“You’re awake” I turned my head swiftly to see both the princes on their laptops sitting on the love seat to the far right of the room. Prince Asher looked up at me briefly before looking back at his screen. Rude.

“You fell asleep towards the end of the movie and I didn’t want you out of my sight so I brought you here instead of your room” Prince Aiden said as he moved to sit beside me. Maybe just a little too close to me. I awkwardly moved back a little creating a larger space between us.

“Thanks. I guess” His eyes showed pure sadness when he realized I had moved back from him but he never said a word. Why. I mean friends don’t sit too close to each other right.
