Poem From a Paragraph ~ Memoirs of a Geisha

Sitting in a quiet room

Sipping cups of green tea

We talked about something

"That afternoon was the very best afternoon of my life,

And the very worst afternoon." I said to you.

"It can't possibly be both!"

Ordinarily I'd agree.

But the truth is that afternoon

Really was the best and the worst of my life

If I had never met him,

I would not have become a geisha.
