The man on the brink
goes to the bar for a drink.
The liquors; they blend
as his world starts to end.
He caves in,
but this was a battle he could not win.
He was not the first nor the last.
He drinks because of acts in his past.
He orders another,
his pain he attempts to smother,
but work it does not.
As we watch this plot,
it's now we see
that this is too much for he.
He tries to drink the problems away,
but what happens when they're worse
on the very next day?
