"Mum, I don't want to leave". I sobbed into her shoulder. "I'm sorry Amy but we have to," she said. I wiped my eyes and looked up at her. "You never know, you might like it down in London. The house your dad has picked is really nice," she smiled. I frowned, "What time are we setting off?" I asked, tears still threatening to fall from my eyes. "In about half an hour. Everything downstairs has been packed and put in the van, we just need to move everything in your room and then we can set off." As soon as she said we would be leaving in half an hour my face fell. "I guess I better go and say bye to Harry then." I said as I stood up off of my bed. "Tell him and his mum that I said bye," my mum called as I picked up my hoodie and walked out of my bedroom door.
I pulled my hoodie over my head as a ran down the stairs. I slipped my shoes on and stepped out of the front door, I started the walk down my road to where Harry's house was. My name is Amy Dawes, i'm 12 years old and Harry Styles is my best friend. We've known each other since birth seen as our parents were best friends aswell. I can't believe i've only got half an hour left here in Holmes Chappel, that means only half an hour left to say good bye to Harry.
I walked up Harry's drive and knocked on the front door. A few seconds later the door flew open revealing Harry with a cheeky grin on his face. Oh, how I loved his smile. It could lighten up even the dullest of days. I weakly smiled back at him, knowing that it could be the last time I would ever see his smile. "Hey" I frowned. Harry noticed the sad look on my face. "What time are you leaving?" he asked gently. I lifted my wrist up to look at my watch, it was 2:45pm, we were leaving at 3. "In about 15 minutes",I said. His face dropped.
Anne, Harry's mum appeared in the doorway. "I'm sad to see you go Amy", she said looking at me. "I know, I dont' want to leave, I love it so much here." I said, my eyes welling up. "My mum told me to tell you that she says bye."
"Tell her I said bye aswell and that I'll miss her very much". She said whilst pulling me into a hug. "I will do," I whispered in her ear. We pulled away from each other, said our final goodbyes and then she walked off into another part of the house. Me and Harry were just stood there. I looked at my watch, 2:54pm. 6 minutes, 6 minutes is all I have left. I looked up at Harry, "Well I guess this is good bye," I said, trying hard to not let the tears fall. I failed, I tear escaped my eye and ran down my cheek.
Harry stepped forward and wrapped his arms around me. I hugged him back. "Promise we'll keep in touch?" he whispered in my ear. I pulled away from him and smiled weakly, "I promise" I said. I quickly looked at my watch again. 2:58pm. I had to go. "Harry, i've got to go now," I stated. His face was pale as he croaked out "Ok."
"Good bye Harry," I sniffled.
"Good bye Amy." He gave me a small wave before I turned to walk back down his drive and up the road to my house. When I got back to mine, I realised that my mum, dad and older brother were sat outside waiting for me in the car. My mum put the car window down and called to me, "Amy! Everything's packed and in the van. Come on, get in the car."
I walked over to the car, glancing at the empty house I no longer lived in. I opened the the back door and took one last look at the street that I had spent the whole 12 years of my life living on, before climbing in next to my brother.
"You alright love?" My mum asked, looking at me through the car mirror. "Yeah." I simply replied.
I spent the rest of the journey to London sat staring out of the window watching the land and cars pass by.
The next chapter will be when the story really starts. 5 years later when Harry and Amy are both 17, Harry is part of One Direction and has moved to London, where he is going to bump into Amy. Sorry this first chapter is a bit short, the next one will be longer.
Thankyou. Amy :)
