It was her. She had come back, after all this time. She wanted to take him away from me, too.

I watched as the short girl with chestnut colored hair grabbed a tree by it's trunk, swiftly ripping it out of the ground silently. In that same moment, the trunk was sent flying towards us. I flinched away from the incoming tree, hearing a loud, sickening snap, followed by a hollow thump. Cautiously, I allowed myself to look once more, forcing myself to mask any sign of shock.

I knew if I showed any trace of horror, Chris would probably freak out more. I mean, after all, his head was sort of..knocked off. I've seen it happen before. It wasn't a completely shocking sight. I knew how confused the young man was. I knew he wasn't asking for this. But he was mine now, and I would have to take care of him. My Ringo. (Would that make me George?)

I decided to acknowledge our attacker. I've been associated with her in the past. We used to be friends. I still hate myself for that. She hated herself for that, as well. Werewolves and vampires cannot be friends.

Ringo-I mean, Chris let out a small, confused groan. Carefully, I picked up his body, and laid it gently against a tree. I let my hands stay on his chest longer than needed. Oh, the feeling of his body..-

"Abbey, really, you hit the first one you see, and it just happens to be my new.." I wasn't sure how to address Chris to others. "...him." Self consciously, I fixed my gloves, preparing myself for the fight that would most likely happen next.  The idea of ripping her ears clean off her head amused, and also appealed to me. I couldn't help but smirk, holding back a giggle.

Abbey was disgusted at me. I wasn't sure why. She was probably just jealous. She also had been 'keeping an eye' on me for awhile. I don't know why I hadn't noticed the foul stench of wet dog earlier.

"But, have you followed me the entire way here? You never give up, do you?"

Abbey's response was a snort, her nose wrinkling in disgust, and amusement.  So this is how it was going to be..

"It's fairly easy to follow you, leaving the dead trail of hot guys. It's even easier when you have many noses." A sudden understanding of the situation came crashing down on me in that moment. She wasn't supposed to do this! It was only supposed to be a fight between the two of us!

No, no, no, no, no!

"You cheater!" I screeched at her, stomping my feet in anger. "That's not fair! I only have one decapitated hot guy!"

My temper tantrum was met by Abbey's harsh, bark-like laughing.

"Well then, maybe I'll win!" She swiftly flicked her wrist, and suddenly the tension and anger in the air increased, almost suffocating me. Dozens, maybe hundreds of wolves had surrounded us, their teeth bared at us. Abbey stayed exactly where she was, looking at me innocently.

"What are you going to do now, bottom feeder?" She taunted me silently.

Chris had stiffened, the confusion and horror growing in him. His gaze flickered up to me, disbelief and shock flashing in his red eyes. "You!" He bellowed at me. "We're going to die! You know that, right?" He went on to question the whole situation, and wonder "can the undead..die again?"

My poor, innocent Rin-...Chris. He would find out soon enough.

I watched as a mammoth wolf padded over to Chris' head, and began to chew on it. He couldn't of gotten too injured-the damn dog was merely teasing me.

Chris was horrified by the wolf chewing on his head. He seemed more worried about his hair than anything..

Suddenly, a huge, furry creature rammed into my side, knocking me off my feet. Abbey's now orange eyes bore down on me like the sun's harsh rays. She had distracted me to turn into her wolf form. The nerve of some people..

I swiftly brought the sole of my black converse shoe to her soft stomach and kicked up, using all of my strength to send her flying off of me. Abbey had hardly landed on her rough paw pads when she jumped at me again, baring her huge, sharp fangs pointed in my direction. I wasn't expecting her to come back so quickly, a sharp pain passing through my body as her teeth sunk into my arm.

Forcing myself to ignore the stabbing pain of her teeth sinking deeper into my arm, I brought my arm up and sent it down swiftly on her head, using all the force I could. Abbey let out a yelp in surprise, releasing her grip on my arm. She snorted at me, the pupils in her eyes shrinking. What did she expect, I would just let myself get killed by a creature as disgusting as a werewolf?

Another large, gray wolf had started to run at me when Abbey dismissed him with a quick flick of her muzzle. "Leave her. This is between the two of us."

The male wolf let out a small whine. "But..our last alpha was killed like this.."

The few seconds from the brief exchange of dialogue was all I needed. I would end this for now. After all, I knew Chris would need blood soon, and if I was to leave him for too long..

Thinking quickly, I opened my palm, ignoring the sticky blood stained on my glove, and imagined a piece of meat was there. I watched as a large slab of jerky dissolved from my imagination to reality, appearing in my hand.

"Hey, Abbey!" I waved the meat around in the air, wrinkling from the smell of the 'food'.

Dozens of pairs of eyes flickered in my direction. Stupid dogs. No one could beat me and my powers. No one.

Abbey's sunset colored eyes had grown. I smirked widely. Then, I wound back, and threw the piece of meat as far as I could, watching it sail over the trees, flying far away from us. The army of dogs stampeded after it, their eyes fixed intently on the jerky. In moments, the only trace of the wolves being there was the grass around us being flattened from their heavy paws.

I watched as the last wolf had disappeared in the distance, before making my way to Chris' head. Quickly, I picked it up, wrinkling my nose at the great deal of wolf slobber all over his face.

"Ew..." I cooed quietly, placing his head back on his neck, where it belonged. The white, sticky slobber dripped from my fingers. It was disgusting. I wiped my hands on his shirt, using it as an excuse to run my fingers over his chest again.

Soon, Chris was examining his neck, his crimson eyes stretched wide with curiosity, searching for any wound or scar. He was shocked, of course. I would have to get used to this kid freaking out often, I quickly concluded. I watched as he looked from his hand, to me, to his hand, to me.

"Why? What? Huh?" He was cute even when he was completely lost.

He was also very in denial. "None of this should be possible. Vampires shouldn't exist, and neither should werewolves."

I decided to add my own input.

"Believe me when I say, you're never going to get used to that. Especially if it's something like your head." I offered my hand to him again, and he accepted, taking it. A shiver ran down my spine.

"Is this normal?" He mumbled, although I could hear him perfectly. He brought his hand to his neck again, starting to notice his blood lust. I was a little disappointed he had let go of my hand..

I also, had just noticed the calls of another girl passing through the trees. This would be interesting.
