Now i know some of you might wonder about this next chapter... This chapter was placed two week after Chase got let out after getting shot!

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“Hop on,” Chase demanded, patting the back of his bike.

I shook my head, “No I refuse to ride a death contraption.” I crossed my arms and looked out at the forest longingly. Why couldn’t he just choose to go for a run like other people do, why did it have to be a bike… one that goes over ten miles per hour!

He laughed. “What do you not trust me?” he asked, giving me a fake hurt face. He resituated himself on his bike, trying to get comfortable. His eyes never left my face but I couldn’t help but let my eyes wonder over his body as he moved.

“I am not so sure on a thing like this…”

“Look think of it this way,” he paused for a moment to figure out what he was going to say. “If something does happen then it’s a good thing you are a werewolf because you can heal pretty quick.”

His logic did make since but what if my injuries didn’t heal fast enough, what if I bled to death on the side of the road? What if… never mind I don’t even want to think about that. I blushed insanely and then took one last look at him before climbing onto the back of the bike. “If you kill me on this trip…” I said trailing off.

He helped me clip on my helmet, brushing his fingers over my cheek. “I would never let anything happen to you…” His face held so much seriousness in it I couldn’t help but shiver. He smirked suddenly, “I love how I have that affect on you.”

Way to ruin the moment with the cockiness. I frowned, slapping him on the side of the head, “You just completely ruined the one happy moment we had. You should go to the doctor and get your head checked out…. It seems to have grown four inches!”

He still smiled at me, completely ignoring my comment. “You have that affect on me too…”

I blushed, covering my face quickly so he wouldn’t see. “Just go…”

He nodded, turning back around and started up the bike. It let out a loud rumble, causing a few heads to turn in our direction. Flipping down his helmet he revved the engine before taking off out of the driveway.

I squeezed my arms tightly around his stomach, keeping my eyes closed as we raced past tree after tree. “Slow down, slow down, slow down!” I screamed, feeling a little sick at how fast we were going.

Doing as I asked he slowed down, making me relax a little. Not that my body already felt relaxed mostly because I had my arms wrapped around the ripped stomach of my mate. “Look around you Destiny, look at this beautiful view. Enjoy the sun and wind on your face while you got a chance.”
