Zin sat in his little room, it was filled with a jungle of plants. Small trees or saplings, various daisies from over ten different solar systems, he also had carnivorous plants, but some of them were man-eating. He also had his trusty bonsai, Karen, sitting in front of him on his little white desk. He would call this room his lab, as he did all his experiments and studying and such in here, but really, it was just a little room with many plants.
Karen sat in her little pot, giving no heed to Zin in front of her. This worried him, Karen hadn't talked to him for days...she was giving him the silent treatment. Though he was the expert on plants, he had asked Xander, the robot dog, to analyze her. He simply cocked his head and trotted off on his metal paws.
A few of the ship's crew members were seeing this as a possible shift in Zin's sanity. The fact that he talked to a plant (and it talked back) was bad, but the plant ignoring him had to be worse.
Zin noticed that the high class, Ember model ship, Faith, was a rather dreary place. Despite the fact that it was built on one of the most colorful planets with the most wonderful people. Though that would be a bit biased, his people were great. Evolved lions from the planet Cloud, long tails and fur, wonderous cat features. They definitly stood out. But, he couldn't find a reason why anyone would want to be on this ship.
He decided that it would be best for her to get some fresh air. Though how that was possible in space, he speculated. He drew the conclusion that he needed to land the ship on a life filled planet, preferably with breathable air. Though Tak, the ship's captain would not allow this. Like the rest of the crew, she thought he was insane, stopping an entire ship just to give a single plant a breath of air? She often wonders why she brought him along at all.
Zin, with his rather disfunctional sanity, and high functioning brain(though some would argue) set his sights on changing the computer and ship's auto pilotting system. It didn't make it so they couldn't fly the thing, but rather, changed it's positioning system. Using a combination of the ship's scanner and a map of the closest solar system, the greenish planet labeled "Earth" was chosen.
Suprisingly, this planet was in the same solar system that he spent a lot of his earlier research in. Though he hears the planet is no longer counted as a planet, (which in his opinion, is a load of carp) he studied on Pluto. He also studied on several different moons, Europa and Titan for this solar system. All this makes him surprised he didn't know about Earth before hand.
"Oh the possibilities, Karen!" He exlaimed, pulling the bonsai close to him. He frowned, remembering the plant's silence. Zin pushed her away and pulled a mini computer in front of him. He continueosly unfolded the brick thick device until it was as thin as paper, and as large as the average computer screen. He opened up a three dimensional view of Earth, making it spin. He pushed his black hair out of his face and spun the image over and over.
"Think of all the plants there! New ones, never seen by anyone, until soon!" He began to dance around the room, though he avoided the purple and black spotted plant with fangs. It tried to lick him when he passed by.
He was interupted though by the sound of the ship rumbling. The ship normally rumbles, but a quiet rumble, something you don't hear unless you're listening for it. This rumble was loud, and made the whole ship shake. He could hear yelling echo through the halls, and just as he began to dance again, the anti-gravity had been turned on. His plan was truely working.

"Tak! Momma can't fix 'er!" Ellen Bou, the ship's engineer called through the intercom as something in the engine room exploded. Ellen was very disappointed in with Faith, she was such a strong thing. Suddenly giving out like this doesn't happen. But it was happening, and she couldn't do anything about it.
"Xander!" His name echoed through the entire ship, searching for the robot. He zipped through the ship, travelling at speeds that no live creatue possibly could. He appeared before Ellen, quickly analyzing the situation.
The ship jerked, and felt like it was being pulled on. Both of them knew what this was. Ellen grabbed the frame of the engine room's door, and Xander's feet became magnets. The ship began to become more vertical as it plunged into the planet's atmosphere.
"Tak! Help!" Ellen caught Kimiko, the Captain's girlfriend, by her tail as she slipped down the hallway in her bright pink dress. Kimiko screamed, but was thankful she had been caught.
