A teenage Muslim's story

chapter 2

The bell rang announcing that  my math class is about to begin. I reached my seat and sat down waiting for the teacher to come.

I took out my phone Mrs. Jonathan is late AGAIN why does she always do that. I took the phone. I shoved it in my pocket Mrs. Jonathan finally came. She greeted us and apologized for showing up late.

She was writing on the board clearly it was questions. Then her phone rang she said to us this is a surprise test which will take 5% of your grades. I was shocked. I didn’t prepare myself for a test. May god be with me to answer those questions?

I took out a paper and pen and started to answer. They were ok but I came to one question I didn’t know how to answer it. I was busy trying to figure the answer. When a paper was thrown at me. I opened it and read the following: the answer to the question was...Write it down.

What was I supposed to do! Cheating is not good. It’s wrong. It doesn’t go with my beliefs. Mrs. Jonathan came back and said that they are 5 minutes left before we hand her the answer papers. Do I write it down or just leave it. I could see Mrs. Jonathan getting closer while collecting the papers. Ok one cheat won’t hurt anyone and plus I need grades. so I wrote it down and handed her the  paper.

After the bell rang. I looked around to see who could possibly give me the answer and how did he/she know.

is it Adam the cutest boy at school. Why would he do this to me? Although he was hot I never saw him dating. What’s your secret Adam Anderson!?

While I was deeply in my thoughts. I noticed he was coming towards me. So I grabbed my stuff and headed to the class room door. While I was peacefully on my way he cut in front of me now I can see him coming closer he whispered in my ear “no need to thank me”

I never knew he was the bad boy. I said: oh thanks for making me do something against my beliefs. I said with a duh tone. Then he continued con you meet me in the library after school? I was just about to say I can’t.

He said: you can bring your friend Alex to. I know it’s wrong to be with a man alone. Will Alex is going to do just fine being the 3rd person with us right. He said with a smirk.

Ok was all I could say. How rude was he to talk to me like that.

Well I went through the 2nd period just fine. But u was excited to see Alex and tell her to join us.

I went to the cafeteria it was spaghetti and chicken day. It wasn’t that bad.

I searched with my eyes for Alex I saw her sitting with Adam. I joined them. It was silence.

Tell Adam decided to break the silence with him saying:

Adam: will since we are all here why the library? I know Alex want to do a little shopping.

When he finished the last word. Alex was giggling. I laughed at her cute giggly face.\

He continued: I wanted to know about Islam. Actually I was shocked so was Alex.

We both said in the same time: what?

He answered I want to know about Islam I’m talking English right?

Sam: sure. But may I ask why?

Adam: you will know at the right time.

Alex: can you teach me as will?

Sam: of course I will.

Adam: so you guys finish your shopping. And tomorrow can we meet at my place after school I’ll give you a ride to and back at your homes.

I was about to look at Alex which she was already looking at me.

I cleared my throat and said I’m sorry but I can’t maybe you two come to my place instead my family will help me if I missed something or didn’t tell you something.

They both cheered yay  

Adam: great. Then your place it’s. Alex do you want me to pick you up?

Alex: sure why not?

We finished eating then the bill rang it was the 3rd period it was English literature.

I finished the day tired. When I saw Alex coming towards me.

Alex: are we going to shop?

Sam: yeah but I need to do a short trip to my house. I need money and stuff. you can come by the way.

Alex: Let’s go to the car now.

Sam: sure
