So yesterday, I was at a taping of that NBC show called "The Voice". I went twice last season and this was my first time going, this season. I went with my sister, Codi, and my mom.
Now, when you're in the audience, there is a guy who is there to tell you what's going on and keep you amped up during commercials. He came over and spoke to my mom, who then nudged him and told him that I LOVE Adam.
He comes over to me and it goes like this,
"What's your name?"
"Maili."
"So, I hear you're a big Adam fan?"
"Yes, a huge fan!"
"Do you love Adam?"
"Yes, and the rest of Maroon 5!"
So then, Adam turns around in his chair, looking for me. I wave and then he waves back, then HE BLOWS ME A FREAKING KISS!!!!!
I was going to just catch it and press it to my cheek, but being me, I had to go and make it all weird...
I caught it in my hand...and ate it... Yes, ladies and gents, I ate his kiss...(Cause I'm a freak.) (usually, I go further and I eat it, then choke on it, then throw it up in my hand, then lick it back up again, but thankfully, I restrained myself...that would have been bad.)
So then the audience man said, "Did you jus...Di..Wha...Did you just eat that?!"
"Yes..." I said shamefully...I still can't believe I did that.
He then says, "Guurrrrlll, you gots skills..." (He said it in like a diva voice.)
Then Adam yells to me, "How'd it taste?"
I said, "Delicious! Sweetest kiss I've ever had."
"I'm so glad you enjoyed that." Adam said. Then we both laughed. It was magical... (May not be to you, but meeting my poetic and lyrical hero...let alone getting a kiss from him. So amazing for me... Mind-blowingly, face-meltingly magical...)
And here's another little story:
Earlier that day, there was a guy in the row behind us named Marco. He is Italian. He came all the way from Italy to see Christina Aguilera. He told us how much he loved her and that he rode a bike IN FRONT OF HER HOUSE! HE TOLD US HER ADDRESS! (I still know it, btw. hahaha) We were like DUDE! If you want to meet her, you can't say stuff like that!!! Here in America, #1 fan, means stalker! hahaha
Then he was telling us he was a singer and the guy at the keyboard on stage started playing beautiful and the italian guy starts singing it. Then Christina walks out and he gets to hug her and stuff and it was so cool! Then later in the show, we talk about him again, and Christina blows him a kiss too. Marco catches it and here's the punch line: Then, a dude in the row behind him yells, "YOU FORGOT TO EAT IT!" .........Mortification. But it was totally worth it. Adam Levine knows my name. He will remember me. FREAK YEAH!
