Hello people! I can't really resist writing this story, so my updates will be slower.

Soooo, I was thinking about how I should do a Matt's P.O.V? I think it sounds pretty good. Don't you want to know what's happening inside his pretty head?

Chapter 5 : Lessons learnt.

Matt's P.O.V.

I decided to head home after leaving the detention hall. Man, teasing Abby about our first encounter was so hilarious. It's just too damn funny watching her trying to be angry. She looks as angry as a kitten, no kidding.

And jokes apart, she's a nice person. Even though she takes her own time getting used to the people around her, she's still nice. And that's something that I really like about her.

I park in my driveway and reach my house. We moved here to Florida after my dad lost his job because of some unfair reasons. After he lost his job, he decided to moved here, hoping to get more opportunities for his career.

And sure enough, Florida has turned out to be a place of many opportunities. My mom, Margo - my younger sister, and I were fully supportive of his decision. We're what you could call a really close-knit family.

"I'm home!"

"I'm in the kitchen!" My mom shouts.

Most guys don't really like to go back home, 'cause you know they don't want to spend time with their family and find them a waste of time, blah blah. But not me, you could call me a complete Mama's boy.

Yeah, of course I've been teased about this a lot by my friends, but I couldn't care less. I talk to my mum about everything. My studies, my games, even my crushes.

I would rather call her my bestfriend. And she's really understanding. Always supportive. I couldn't ask for more.

"Hi honey, how was your first day of school?" My mom asks, while cooking in the kitchen.

"It was good, the subjects are really easy." I say, biting into a fresh apple.

"Yeah? I'm sure. Any friends?" Not to blow my own trumpet, but I'm pretty good at academics along with sports. I make sure my grades don't drop because of my other activities.

"Yeah. There's this guy named George I met in detention. He's cool."

"And why, may I ask, did you get detention?" My mum suddenly became the motherly type.

With her hands on her hips, she faced me with a questioning look. Oh crap. I forgot to tell mum that I got detention. Scratching my neck uncomfortably I told her.

"I was passing chits in class." Her face was amused at first, and I relaxed. But then she quickly covered up any tracks of being entertained.

"Who were you passing chits to?"

"My friend, Abby." Her eyes visibly widened when I mentioned Abby. She knows that I don't easily get attached to girls. I'm not saying that I'm attached to Abby, it's just that I am not really fond of girls, so much.

Half the female population are so clingy and drive me crazy, like the girl at school. What was her name? .....Ciara. Man, she was way too clingy. And I didn't even know her!

"And why were you passing chits to her?"

"Uh, because I was bored." I felt like I'm a criminal and my mum is the interrogator. Suddenly, she started laughing. I guess she found the whole 'passing chits to Abby' funny.
