A/N - Sooo sorry for the long wait; I have exams, I felt ill, have to prepare to go to france for my birthday - very complicated.

Here is the next chapter; it's short sorry.

Chapter Sixteen

I froze, shocked at his comment.

I turned around slowly to face him and looked up to his eyes.

“What you talking about?” I pretended to ask, confused.

He placed his hands on each side of my face and stared at me; concern and worry written all over his face.

“You know what I’m talking about; you can’t expect me to believe those lies that you used to fight; Rosalie…you can’t even harm a fly.” He whispered soothingly.

I stared back, tears already escaping my eyes.

“What’s Rosalie? If you don’t want to tell me its fine, I understand.” He backed away ever so slightly.

I shook my head and took a deep breathe, “You deserve to know.”

I stepped towards him and grabbed his hand making our way to the bed. Sitting beside Vincent I stared down at my fingers.

“My parents…” I started, “they did this to me. I-I-they treated me differently.” I bit my lip hesitating. “They were drug addicts. They never gave me anything and when they had nothing they would beat me up; for pleasure.”

“Oh God Rosalie, have you told anyone about this?” asked Vincent who got down from the bed to kneel beside me.

I shook my head, tears rolling down my eyes. This was the first time that I’ve told anyone.

“Not even Lizzie?”

Again I shook my head.

“Come here…” said Vincent opening his arms. I fell from the bed and hugged him tightly.

“It’s a good thing you know, that I got to know you. I’m glad my parents kicked me out and that you had a free room available. You made living worthwhile,” I smiled to myself remembering the first time I stepped into the apartment. It took a while to persuade Vincent to let me stay.

“I’m glad you came, my life would have been shit without you,” he chuckled, ruffling my hair.

“Can’t have been that bad; at least you have a good family who loves you.” Vincent froze at the mention of the word family. I shuffled uncomfortably, “Vincent? Is something wrong?” I asked.

“There’s something you don’t know.” He whispered.

“What is it?”

“Well since we’re telling all our secrets I thought I’d tell you more about me and my family.” He stated seriously.

“Can’t be as bad as mine,” I smiled, trying to lighten up the mood.

He cleared his throat and smiled down at me, “Well, you’ve always been curious on how I and Zack were friends and how I always have so much money and shit, right?”

I nodded, wondering where he was going with this.

“Well, my parents are rich.”

I shrugged, confused, “That’s a good thing is it.”

“Sure it is, until I found out how my dad got all the money from.”

“What did he steal anything?” I asked, shocked. Even though I never met his father, I couldn’t possibly imagine anything like that.

“No, worse than that; he was a drug dealer.”

I let out a little gasp, “A drug dealer? B-but what about your mum?”

“I-I, she was murdered…” whispered Vincent.

“What? How? When?”

My heart was aching for all the pain; it must have been horrible for him.

“These two drug addicts murdered my mum for drugs. They didn’t have money and since my dad said no they decided to investigate and stalk him. That’s when they killed my mum.”

“Oh my god!”

“Yeah, I hate my dad for that, but even more I hate those sons of a bitch; they deserve to die!” he yelled, slamming his fist to the floor.

I jumped, startled at his reaction.

“Sorry,” said Vincent.

I caught sight of tears.

“Vincent..we’ll find them, and when you do. They’ll be put away. You shouldn’t blame your father for that.”

“Hell Rosalie! You know nothing!” he yelled.

I moved back, stung at his words.

“I’m s-sorry…” I mumbled.

He punched his fist against the floor, “Shit, Rose…I’m sorry. I just miss my mum, you know?”

I nodded my head in comprehension.

“Listen, since we’re confessing everything I have something else I want to confess to you.”

“What is it?” I croaked.

“I love you.”

And that’s when he leant forward.
