EIGHT MONTHS LATER

Blair looked at Alicia, who was in a beautiful white wedding gown. She smiled at her best friend before exiting the back-room into the chaotic dressing room.

Of course, Alicia had made her the maid of honor, since Dawn had turned it down, unsure if she would be able to make it to the wedding because of work. Blair smiled, holding her very pregnant stomach.

Alicia was apparently pregnant at the time that Johnny had proposed to her. Blair had been slightly hurt that Alicia hadn't said a word to her, but she brushed it off and moved on.

Speaking of moving on, Brandon was in the church with his date. Blair didn't mind, but she had been curious of why Alicia had invited him. When she asked, Alicia reminded her that Blair and Brandon had both made up and moved on to other people and that Alicia and Brandon had been old "frenemies" when they met. Blair smiled in reminiscence of the arguments that Alicia and Brandon used to have.

Chris and David, Alicia's older brothers, knocked on the door. "Blair. Tell Leesh she has about ten minutes."

"Guys," Blair whispered, "get out. You know if she hears you, she'll start freaking out."

"Well," David said flirtatiously, "you better hurry her ass up."

"David...," Blair warned.

"Aww, don't be like that, Davey." He feigned sadness.

"I'm taken," Blair said, laughing. "As are you. Now, go!"

The two grown men scurried out like five year old boys. Blair looked at the bridesmaids and counted heads. It was herself, David's girlfriend, Chris's wife, and two of their friends from high school, Kira and Liv.

"Alicia!" Blair called, going into the back-room, where she had just been a few minutes ago. "You ready?"

"Just about. God, being pregnant and losing my babies ruined my body," Alicia said, frowning.

Blair sighed, leaning against the door frame. "On the bright side, at least you don't have those B-cups from high school anymore."

"I know. I'm finally a C." She laughed. "What size are you?"

Blair looked down at her swollen breasts and sighed. "Double D. Or E. whichever way you wanna look at it. My back is killing me though." She placed her hands on the small of her back.

Alicia smiled, stepping down from her platform. "Blair. I want to tell you that no matter what happens, we will always be friends. Best friends. I love you so much. You're the best friend I've ever had. Thank you for everything."

"Of course," Blair said as she smiled. "I love you, too." Blair felt herself get teary and sighed, knowing the emotions and hormones from the pregnancy just made her go crazy.

"Okay, time to go on," the wedding planner, Marie, said. "You ready, Alicia?"

"All ready," Alicia said after inhaling deeply. She looked at Blair who smiled at her. "Wish me luck!"

Blair smiled, gathering up the other bridesmaids and followed her best friend downstairs.

Dex sighed, scanning the crowd. He was the best man to Johnny and was very proud of his best friend. Alicia was a great girl with a great personality and a kinky attitude. The two were a great match.

Of course, Dex spotted some people he knew. Darrel, from work, Britney, one of his old secretaries, Brandon, Blair's ex, Brandon's date, Dianne, Jos-

Dex stopped and looked back. Dianne?! And Brandon? Oh. That wasn't good.

He fixed his green tie and looked at the door, begging for Blair to come down. But, he knew that wasn't yet. The bride's song hadn't even started.

Shit. Dianne thought Blair had an abortion. This wasn't good.

But, Dex soon realized, Dianne wasn't even looking at him or Johnny, but rather, leaning her head against Brandon lovingly. Maybe Dianne had changed... But people don't change that fast.

Do they?

Whatever the reason, he just hoped that she didn't see Blair's very pregnant stomach that wasn't far from bursting.

The bridal march began and out stepped Johnny's niece, an adorable blonde girl with bright blue eyes. Her white dress had a silver sash and a basket of beautiful flower pedals, proving she was the flower girl.

Out stepped Alicia in a beautiful white gown. Her sleeves had white flowers imprinted on them. Her golden hair was beautifully done, half up, half down, and curled to perfection. Her makeup was perfectly done and Dex thought she looked amazing.

Behind her was the line of bridesmaids.

His eye was taken away from Alicia to Blair, who was, in his opinion, the most beautiful person in the room.

Her chestnut hair was long and wavy, a silver flower clip pinning it to the side. She wore a beautiful silver dress, a green sash above her pregnant stomach. She looked stunning with her natural makeup yet sexy eyeshadow, providing highlight to her beautiful amber eyes.

Dex had never seen anything so perfect.

They arrived at the alter, Alicia's grandfather holding her arm as he handed her to Johnny. Dex looked at Blair breathlessly before realizing that he needed to tell her about Brandon and his date.

"Blair," he mouthed. Blair raised an eyebrow. "Look by Brandon."

Blair huffed and turned her head, scanning the crowd. She turned back to Dex. "Oh, my God," she mouthed back.

The two waited until the end of the ceremony, where they would hold arms and walk off together, to continue talking about the issue at hand.

************
Alicia stared at the closed chapel doors, and breathed heavily. She couldn't do it, not without her dad.

A month after Johnny had proposed, her dad had died, from a sudden heart attack. She wouldn't have someone to walk her down the aisle. At least, not her father.

"You all right, baby?" Her grandfather looked at her, tears in his blue eyes.

"I'm fine, Granddaddy. Thank you." Alicia smiled, and hugged him, careful not to crush her flowers.

"Your daddy would be so proud. So proud. Your momma is so happy for you, you know. Married soon, happy, absolutely beautiful. I'm glad I can still be here for your wedding." At 89, her grandfather was old, but still had that fighting spirit left. His Texas pride was still there, bolero hanging proudly from his collar.

Alicia sniffed, and whispered, "Thank you. Thank you so much."

The wedding march began, and Johnny's niece, Angela, began to walk down the aisle, throwing her flowers on the carpet.

Looping her arm through her grandfather's, she started to walk, knees shaking underneath the dress. Her arms, covered in lace, trembled as she held on to her flowers tightly, gripping them so hard her knuckles turned white.

"Don't fall now, baby girl. You'd crush your pretty flowers." Her grandfather whispered in her ear, and a shock of fear coursed through her.

Halfway down the aisle, Alicia finally looked up through the haze of her veil, and saw Johnny, looking magnificent in a black tuxedo and forest green bow tie. Next to him stood Dex, and Blair, pregnant and glowing.

The march faded, and Johnny stepped down to receive the bride. Her grandfather kissed her cheek, and tears dripped down his face. "I love you, sweetheart. Stay strong."

Alicia smiled a small smile, and hugged him. "I will. I love you too, Granddaddy."

Johnny took Alicia's cold hand in his warm one, and led her up the stairs to the waiting priest.

"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to celebrate the holy union of Jonathan Harlan and Alicia Ronaldo...." The priest's voice faded, and all Alicia could hear was the rush of her breath in her ears, and all she could see was Johnny, smiling through his manly tears.

"And do you, Alicia Ronaldo, take Jonathan Harlan to be thy lawfully wedded husband, in sickness and in health, until death do you part?"

Alicia swallowed, and spoke in a clear voice. "I do."

"Then, may it be my pleasure to present Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Harlan. You may now kiss the bride."

Johnny swirled Alicia in a shallow dip, and kissed her softly.

The cheers of the church woke her from her dream-like state, and she slowly wrapped her arms around Johnny.

Johnny released her, and grinned. "Holy shit. We're married."

Alicia grinned right back. "Yes, we are, aren't we?"

Looking out at the congregation in the massive Cathedral of Our Lady, Alicia saw her family, minus her father. She looked up, and smiled, and wept. "I love you, Daddy."

She looked at her mother, still gorgeous at sixty-three. There were tears streaking down her face, and together they looked at the ceiling, covered by a thousand lights.

"Time for cake, Mrs. Harlan. And then... SEXY TIME!" Johnny giggled, but then stopped when he saw her face. "Hey. What's wrong?"

Alicia sniffled, and looked at her husband, just as clueless as ever. "I miss my dad. So much. So much...."

"I know. But hey, don't worry. I'm sure he's up there, proud of you, and crying with the best of them. God himself would weep to see the tears in your face. Now, darling. Enough of the tears. Let's go celebrate."

****************

Johnny sighed slightly, and looked at the revelry in the hotel ballroom. People were dancing and laughing, and people were eating and chatting. Many of the couples were cuddle together, whispering sweet nothing's into their significant other's ear. Where had his bride gone?

"Sorry, love. Just needed to say hi to Blair. She's so excited! She can't stop giggling."

"I think she's just happy about you. You finally have me. I'm a hot piece of ass. You should be grateful." Johnny teased her, his tone light.

Alicia opened her mouth to answer, but the DJ interrupted her.

"Annnnnnnd now it's time for the Best Man speech! My man! Take the mic and go!"

Dex stood up, a cheeky grin on his face. "Dear God, Johnny. Well, to be honest, I always knew you would always be the first of us two to get married, if we ever did. We were quite the players.

"You and Alicia really deserve each other. You're both funny, have a great personality, and you are both amazing together. I didn't know that you two were together in high school, and that fact just makes it all the more special.

"You're a great guy, Johnny, ol' boy. You really deserve the best in life. I'm really glad that I met you back when my grandfather was still running Richards Enterprise and you were fresh out of college. Granddad really liked you and he always knew you were gonna end as something special... With someone special.

"I was going to write this huge speech, but then I realized it wouldn't be genuine... It wouldn't be from the heart. And I want something this special, this honor, to be really heartfelt and not something that I worked on day in-and-day out. That on the spot is special.

"Johnny Harlan, you're a great kid. You're smart. You're energetic as hell. And you have this sense of humor that no one really seems to get except for the few who actually know you. Alicia, you're one lucky woman.

"As are you Johnny... Except you're not a woman. You married an extraordinary lady tonight. She's beautiful. She's smart and witty and extremely deceitful, so watch out. And she's going to be a great wife and a great daughter. Blair's told me so much about Alicia that I feel that I was the one in English and Gym class with her throughout high school," Dex gained a laugh here, "when, in reality, I've only known her for a little over a year.

"You two are amazing together and I cannot think of any couple any closer to perfect than you two. Congratulations. A toast, to the newly wed couple. May the odds be in your favor, Mr. and Mrs. Harlan!"

The DJ smiled, and took the mic back. "Time to get the garter and throw the bouquet! My dear couple, come on down! We have a special chair for the new missus!"

Alicia groaned, and stood up. "What the hell did you do, Johnny?"

Johnny just smiled, and gestured toward the chair.

Alicia's jaw dropped. Wrapped in sparkling lights, coated in tinsel and glitter, it had a bright sight that said "Johnny's Wifey" in big, neon letters above it.

"You bastard. I'm so gonna get you back for this!"

Johnny giggled. "Good luck with that. I'm the one with the dick."

Alicia smirked. "It's why they invented vibrators, isn't it?"

Alicia turned away from the women gathered at the table, and flung the bouquet. A collective shriek went up from the group of girls, as one stood up and screamed, "I'm getting MARRIED NOW!"

It was Dianne. Holy crap.

Alicia smiled, and applauded her.

Suddenly, Johnny scooped her up, and carried her to the chair. A chant broke out from the men. "Take it off! Take it off!"

Dawn shouted, "With your teeth! Your TEETH, Harlan!"

Johnny smirked up at Alicia, who was frozen in her chair. "Hope you're prepared, darling."

Alicia couldn't look at all the people on front of her, or at Johnny's body, slowly going beneath her skirt. So she looked at Blair, who had tears pouring down her face, she was laughing so hard.

"Hurry up, Johnny!" Alicia pleaded through the cries of the crowd.

"Got it!" Johnny spoke around the lacy garter, and shot it into the crowd. A gasp rose up when Alicia, Johnny, Dex, and Blair saw who had caught it.

Brandon. Of course, it would be him.

Brandon and Dianne smirked at each other, and kissed passionately.

"Well. That's a turn of events, isn't it?" Alicia spoke up, and her voice cracked with the aftereffects of champagne.

"Yes. Well, if you'll excuse me... I have to go and bed my gorgeous wife now!" Johnny spoke up to the restless crowd of people, and a cheer rose up.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Blair and Dex were slow dancing to the music. Few guests were still there, since Johnny and Alicia had gone to bed before their honeymoon.

"God." Blair sighed. "I love you so much. Why?"

Dex chuckled. "I don't know." He hugged Blair, who rested her head on his shoulder. "I love you too, even more." He gulped. "Follow me?"

Blair smiled and nodded, following him onto the cool, empty balcony. "Blair, I have a very important question for you." Blair's eyes widened. Dex smiled, getting on one knee. Blair looked speechless as Dex pulled out a velvet box.

He opened the box. "I love you so much, sweetie, and I want to spend every waking second with you. Will you, Blair Davenport, move in with me?"

Blair was staring at the key inside of the box. "You're a real jackass. After everything we've been through. After Dianne-who showed up tonight-"

"Hey. We talked to her. She's nice now. She's in love with your ex and your in love with hers, so you two are even."

"After all the hell we've been through and back! After you knocked me up with a baby-"

"Beautiful, unborn baby girl."

"You make me think your proposing to me, when you're really just asking me to move in? You think that's funny?"

Dex contemplated for a second. "Yeah."

Blair smiled. "Good. Because my answer's yes." She kissed Dex. "Where'd you get the empty ring box anyways?"

"I am, my dear Blair, Dexter Richards... But, you'll find out in a few months." He smirked, lifting a seated Blair. "The reason be inside the key box."

"Oh, boy," Blair said, rolling her eyes. "It's a good thing I love you, Dex."

"I love you, too, Blair."

And they kissed, knowing everything was going to be just alright...
