He came running towards me. Yikes! I guess he sees me as a werewolf. I decided my options were to run away or stand my ground. If I ran he would still catch up to me and if I stand my ground he would get me but I wouldn't be a coward.

This is going to hurt so badly. I decided to stand my ground. No way will I be a coward. I may be human now but he has no right to treat people this way. He was now mere inches from me and shock crossed his face. Just as his fist rose, I braced myself. Then all of a sudden his fist stopped. He was just staring at me. His fist was centimeters from my nose.

"You really do have some balls for a female alpha." Owen said. Is that a compliment? Ugh! Males!

"In my opinion alphas with balls are weaker. You have something to lose. In female leaders we have nothing to lose." I raised an eyebrow at him and placed my right hand on my hip.

Owen chuckled. He lowered his fist. "Wow. You are definitely something else. I wish you were my mate." He had caught me off guard.

"Clearly I'm not though. When you do find her please loose the attitude." I had gained confidence again. He couldn't hurt me. I'm human now. This is great and bad. Great he can't touch me but bad that I don't have my strength to kick him in the balls!

"Alright Melanie. I'll make a note of that. Now stop pushing it. How did you know that I wouldn't hurt you?" Owen asked me. He raised an eyebrow at me.

"A little bird told me." I sighed. I had grown bored of our little discussion. Now that I know that I can't be harmed. I looked away and set my eyes on the fire. I wonder if Ian is around a fire right now or if he is in his wolf form.

"Melanie." Owen said. He brought me back to reality. I looked back at him. "Who are you thinking about?"

I crossed my arms over my chest. "No one."

He grinned. "You are lying. Well I'll find out soon enough. We have all night to make you talk. Lets sit down and talk then. Now that you have ruined dinner." He said as he walked toward the fireplace and sat down. He turned his head and looked at me. "Come on." I shook my head. "Just sit!" He yelled.

"You've forgotten Owen. I'm not from your pack and your alpha voice doesn't work on me. Besides you have to make a deal with me first." I ordered.

"What deal?" He asked and his lips formed a wide grin. "I adore the way you think. It would be great to have kids that think like you. I sure would like it if you had my children."

"Okay. That really isn't making me want to go sit with you. Listening to what your saying is making me want to go run away from you." I snapped at him.

"I'm sorry. It's just that I've never been with such a confident women before. So what is your deal?" He asked.

"You need to keep your hands to yourself and any comment about what you like about me to yourself. Deal?" I asked.

"Alright fair enough. Besides we have business to discuss." He announced.

I went and sat a foot away from him. I made sure to sit on my knees so he wouldn't be staring at my legs. "Where would you like to begin?" I asked him.

"Well I've told you already that you can pay off your debt by just having sex with me at least once." Owen began but I cleared my throat.

"I already said no to that one." I snapped.
