AUTHOR'S NOTE: Yes, this story is being brought back from the dead, and it's edited from the old version of the original prologue. So, you'll notice some changes that I made after I posted it the first time. And yes, this is a DP Fanfic. If you don't know what that means, then just ask. As always, ENJOY. :) :D

-PROLOGUE-

August 14, 2033.

That was the day that sent Michael Phillips and his wife Ann down a road of being older parents, the day where they had conceived Michael Phillips Jr. due to carelessness. Michael was already thirty-eight years old, and Ann was thirty-nine. They thought their years of having and raising children were behind them, but apparently were mistaken a month later, when Ann found out that she was going to have to go through that all over again. She already had a nineteen year-old daughter, a sixteen year-old daughter, and twelve year-old twins. Ann didn't need to add a baby to the mix, but she did otherwise. Her and her husband Michael had decided to keep the unborn child, and to raise them like they had their other children...

May 14, 2034.

Ann woke up to painful pains, and she knew that it was the day. The contractions seemed to only get worse, as she nudged her husband awake. Michael nearly froze, not sure what he should exactly do. The labor process seemed to be going a lot more quickly than it should, and pretty soon it was too late for Ann to have the baby boy at the hospital seeing as though she would have him on the way there instead. Michael tried to stay calm as he yelled for his eldest daughter Rhea, who had gone through the same thing as her mother was going through now, just two months earlier. With her help, they were able to deliver the healthy baby boy. Ann was still in shock, that she was now forty years-old and holding her newborn baby boy in her arms. At the hospital, she looked over at her husband and smiled. He leaned over and kissed her, and when he did, his newborn son giggled and reached out for him. They then knew what they were going to name him- Michael Chad Phillips Jr. after his father, and it just seemed to fit...

July 4, 2037.

It was a wonderful sunny day, and it was the Forth of July. Michael Sr. and Ann's second daughter, Josten, turned twenty that day. So instead of just celebrating the Forth, they celebrated her birthday as well. Little Michael Jr. was now three years-old, and his older brother Mark was watching him while everyone else partied outside. Mark was sixteen years-old, and was texting his girlfriend after he had set his little brother in front of the T.V. so his little brother could watch it so he wouldn't bug him. So, Mark was oblivious to how curious his little brother was. Michael Jr. saw his parents outside, and wondered why they were there and not with him inside. The door that led out to the patio was left open, and he began to make his way there by running as fast as his little legs could take him. Michael Jr. then tripped over himself, falling off the porch and onto the slab of concrete below. He cried in pain, as his parents rushed over to him. Michael Jr. had badly scrapped his knee, and had sustained a deep cut next to his mouth along with a few minor cuts. Ann picked him up, and had brought him inside to patch him up, cradling him to get him to stop crying. Michael Sr. had went inside to question Mark about what had happened. Due to the accident, Michael Jr. would have a permanent scar on his knee and scar on his face...

September 4, 2045.

Michael Jr. was now eleven years-old, and had just started middle school. He really wasn't looking forward to it, seeing as though he felt embarrassed by his scar. He begged his mom not to make him go, but his mom made him anyway, saying that the kids that used to tease him would let up now that they're older. When he got to school, he immediately sat in the back and talked to nobody. He took a seat next to a blonde girl, and he immediately looked away from her. She noticed, and she nudged him to look at her. He did, but he covered his scar. She asked him what was the matter, and Michael Jr. shook his head and said nothing. She moved his hand out of the way, and laughed. He blushed, and immediately looked away again. The girl then comforted him and said the reason she laughed, was because his scar was a silly thing to be embarrassed off. They smiled at each other, and had started a friendship. They introduced each other, and the girl's name turned out to be Cassandra Leann Masters. They turned out to be the best of friends...

June 26, 2048.

It was the last day of middle school for both Michael Jr. and Cassandra, and over the past three school years they became closer than friends. Michael Jr. was now fourteen years-old and he didn't get teased as much, and he had a wonderful friend that he began to love as more than a friend. He felt that his life couldn't get any better, as he met Cassandra by her locker after school had ended. She pulled him by his arm, and dragged him to their secret place behind a big oak tree. They sat there in silence, before Cassandra spoke up. She showed Michael Jr. something that was etched into the tree's bark, and it was a heart with their initials in it- M.C.P.+C.L.M. right in the dead center of the heart itself. He got wide-eyed, as he saw that she was leaning in for a kiss. He began to get sweaty and his heart started to race, because he had never kissed anybody before. His heart practically jumped out of his chest, when their lips touched. They stopped kissing, when he realized that she had started to cry. Cassandra then told him, that she was moving and would probably never get to see him again. Drops of green liquid began to fall from her face, and it stung her. She runaway, before Michael Jr. could say anything else to her. That was the last time he had seen Cassandra...

September 6, 2049.

Michael Jr. was now fifteen years-old and a sophomore in high school, after having a horrible first year. His only friend was gone, and he didn't even know where she had went. The teasing seemed to get worse, now that he had to wear glasses because he inherited his father's bad eyesight. He hated going to school, but he tired his best to go and got half-assed grades. He also seemed to be living under the shadow of his older brother Mark, who had graduated over eleven years ago, and the shadow of his father while he was at school. And at home, it was pretty much the same thing with Mark and his father. He lived with it everyday, and somehow seemed to get through each day in one piece. He seemed to just be another kid walking the halls, but he somehow caught the attention of one certain freshman girl by the name of Tracy Hart...

September 23, 2050.

Michael Jr. was now a junior and sixteen years-old, and he had gotten his driver's license and had gotten a used car for his sixteenth birthday. He seemed to be doing better, since he did start talking to a certain girl. He started to feel like Cassandra was back in his life, because this girl filled the void that was left when Cassandra had left. But, she still wasn't her. He drove to school, and found that Tracy was not waiting for him like she usually would. Michael Jr. then went to his locker, and saw Tracy pacing in front of it nervously like she had something on her mind. She looked up and noticed him standing there, and she immediately jumped from being disturbed. Tracy looked unsure as to what she wanted to do, but she all of a sudden grabbed Michael Jr. and pulled him into the nearest stairwell. Tracy stammered the first few words that she asked him, but the rest came out all at once. Tracy admitted that she had always had a crush on him, even before they started talking and became friends. She then asked him that one question. Michael Jr. thought about his response, but soon accepted her asking him out. Michael Jr. did like Tracy and all, it's just that she wasn't exactly Cassandra. So, he didn't feel exactly the same way as her because of that. Tracy then asked him if he wanted to go to the Homecoming Dance with her, and he accepted that as well. Everything seemed to be going great...

And that's where it all started, and where the rest will all start...
