Jason

It felt like years. Jason hated waiting. The Argo II took forever to build.

Still, he had to give credit to the Hephaestus and Athena cabin and all the other campers who helped build the ship, especially Leo. Jason was starting to worry about him. He seemed to have a lot of nightmares lately. Jason even heard him screaming and crying.  Plus, he also seemed tired. He had bags under his eyes and fell asleep a few times during break hours. Jason missed the old, peppy Leo with his bad jokes and cheerfulness.

But Piper was totally different. She kept everyoneup, being so cheerful. Jason loved the way her chocolate brown hair fell past her shoulders. Her eyes flashed from beautiful blue to stunning green and then creamy brown.

He had his own  room. Leo had totally over done it. Lightning bolts were engraved in the walls. A deck had been built outside so that Jason could walk out and view the ocean and sky.

Jason felt sick throughout the whole rid, and not because of sea sickness. He couldn't stop thinking about how it'd be like to meet all of his old friends, his old family.

Also, how would the Romans react? Jason remembered Octavian, the pale, obnoxious descendant of Apollo. He would definitely call war. Hopefully, Percy Jackson had settled things over there.

Percy Jackson. Would they be friends or enemies? Thalia, who would be joining them along with some of her Hunters of Artemis, had said that she and Percy had fought a lot, but still got along.

"Hey," Piper walked into the room. "Hey," Jason sat up on his bed. "Leo's making some sort of video to send to the Romans. You know, so they don't attack or something."

Jason peeked outside of his room. Leo was talking into some weird looking parchment, probably another invention. For the first time ever, he sort of looked like his old self.

"Hey!" Leo was saying. "Greetings from your friends at Camp Half-Blood. This is Leo. I'm the..." Leo paused then called out. "What's my title? Am I like admiral, or captain, or-"

"Repair boy!" Piper yelled back. Jason snorted.

"Very funny, Piper." Leo grumbled. "So yeah, I'm...ah...supreme commander of the Argo II. Yeah, I like that! Anyway, we're gonna be sailing toward you in about, I dunno, an hour in this big mother warship. We'd appreciate it if you'd not, like, blow us out of the sky or anything. So okay! If you could tell the Romans that. See you soon. Yours in demigodishness, and all that. Peace out."

Leo rolled up the scroll and walke into Jason's room. "Demigodishness?" Jason snickered. "Hey, that's a word!" Leo protested. "I think..."

Jason was glad to see Leo all happy again. But he could still notice the sad, tired look in his eyes. "Hey, man, you okay?" "Huh?" Leo said, as if snapping out of a daze. "Oh, uh, yeah, fine! What about you? You haven't seen your old folks for months!"

"Yeah," Jason looked down at the floor. "I wonder what's changed. "Don't worry, Jason." Piper flashed him a beautiful smile. Even if she just wore a snowboarding jacket with her hair in braids, she was breathtakingly beautiful. "It'll be fine." "But what if we don't get along?" Jason fell on his bed in frusturation. "You know, the Greeks and the Romans."

"Oh, don't sweat it dude, they've only been hating each other for the past, I dunno, um..."

"Leo?" Piper said sweetly. "Yes?" Leo replied. "Shut up."

"Sorry." Leo walked out the doorway. "Hey, I said shut up, you don't have to leave!" Piper said. "Um, well, I gotta... check on the engines." Leo mumbled. And with that he was gone.

"Have you noticed something about him?" Piper turned towards Jason, his heart beating at her gorgeous eyes staring straight into his. "Yeah," Jason said worriedly. "It's like he's excluding himself. He's so down." Piper tugged at her braids. "I'm sure it's nothing." Jason said, as if trying  to convince both Piper and himself.
