Dear past, present, and hopefully future reader,
I want to say I'm sorry for leaving you a confusing "end of year" story. But you have to admit it was worth it? I hope you like this one. In all honesty it took me a while to figure out where the story was going to lead to next, but thankfully for the inspiration of my fellow fans and my chapter titles. I have prewritten outlines for at least 3 more chapters! Yay! *doin a touchdown dance* whew
=D I do hope this chapter will make up some loss time and I will be posting the next chapter soon! It's going to be a doozy!
Much love and enjoy the following words of wisdome. (I actually don't know if it's really words of wisdom or just how my mind works, but I do hope it does make you think before you act?)
Anywho as they say in Norwegien Like (which means Enjoy, weird right?)
College Experiences (YR3.1) The End To The Beginning
A sympathetic voice cut through my thoughts and I looked up to see my big brother hovering over me. I couldn't help but to look up at him and grin, he looked like a penguin in that suit especially with the tails on the end. "Liz, are you okay?" I nodded but he new better, I felt teardrop threaten the corner of my eye. He sat down next to me and I felt a bit overwhelmed. His broad figure and my self conscious self felt like the lion with the mouse. "I'm sorry I haven't been around much," he said looking at me. It felt odd, especially since he's like the most selfish person in the world yet I know deep down inside he always had a soft spot for me.
"There's nothing to be sorry about, I mean you are you and I am me. You like to take the protective role when it's necessary and you think of yourself the rest of the time. But I still love ya," I said with a smile.
He grinned back and said, "you know me all too well." I rolled my eyes and looked back down to my hands, I kept rubbing them together to bring back a warmth that I know wasn't going to come back the same. He continued to say, "enough about me. You looked beautiful at the wedding, hell better than Lucile." I glared at him, Lucile is the seventy year old neighbor of Miss', she has a few moles and warts in places I don't want to know. "Anyways, you look like you were having a good time with Jace back there." I thought back at the wedding and the reception and found myself having a good time, but was also willing myself to enjoy it. "Is there something going on there that I would have to further investigate upon," he said with sarcasm dripping from it.
I nodded my head and said, "now why would you do that? I mean all the other guys I've dated you've done nothing of the sort."
"Call it mans intuition," he said with a grin. I couldn't help but roll my eyes at him.
"You have to admit he's better than Matthew," I said innocently.
He looked at me and just shrugged. He went on and said, "Matthew's cool. I really like him. You should consider giving him a chance."
Now this is new news to me. Of all the other times I've thought about dating Matthew, my brother always found reasons not to date him. Wonder why the change of heart? "What's wrong with Jace? I mean he did help me out." He stared at me in disbelief and then realized what I was talking about, he saved me from a psychopath. "I think he's sweet and he has the most dreamiest eyes..."
"Stop right there, you're going to make me puke. I don't need to know those kinds of things. What you do in your spare time with guys is none of my business. Wait, let me take that back. If any guy tries to hurt you, now that is my business and I will do what is necessary to ensure your safety."
"Yeah right. Where were you when Seth tried to....," I faded out trying not to recall the account. It reminded me of him.
He stood up and looked around for Seth and said with a menecing voice, "What did Seth do to you? Why haven't you told me this?"
I rolled my eyes, "so now you decided to take on the big brother roll? Sit down. What is wrong with you? Seth didn't do anything, jeez." He finally sat down and tried to relax but he seems still tense. "What's wrong with you? Did Jewels finally give you a heart," I asked teasingly.
He stiffened up, "No and she won't," he said curtly.
Now that got me curious, "What do you mean no?"
He blew out a deep breath and looked everywhere but at me. "I asked Jewels to marry me..."
I cut him off and said excitingly, "that's wonderful. Congratulations! I'm so excited, Jewels is going to be my sister in law!"
