Chapter 1
Okay, so there's this girl. Okay, that was a lie. So, there are these two girls who kinda like me. ...Another lie. I like them. Ah, and the trap is set. But let's get real. Nobody's surprised that they don't like me (That I know of. There's always hope... Right?), considering I'm not exactly Mr. Football. Okay, not at all Mr. Football. Not that I care. I'm happy being kinda short with sandy blonde hair (Or dirty blonde, as my sister calls it. Side note: She make's it real hard for me to find a reason to get out of bed in the morning), rather than being tall with gorgeous, deep brown hair. Yup... Happy. Okay, but I live my life day to day without too much crap, right? Don't answer that. So my name's Luther, just thought I'd bring that up before we get lost in the sorrow that is my life. Shall we start with the basics then? My many friends. It would seem I'm getting in the habit of lying to you... Okay, my two friends. We'll start with the one I've know longest; Carlie. She's a sweet girl, kinda on the dull side, but still sweet (and not one of the girls I like), and she tends to agree with me a lot. Like this one time, I was watching Harry Potter with her, and she was just staring off into space, looking really bored, and then I was like, "God, I love this movie. Can't get over the special affects." And the she was like, "Yeah! Wow! Me too!" Which always confused me. No idea how she hadn't noticed we were watching it. Anyways, I've known her since I was, what, five? We've been close ever since, dunno why. She just always hangs around me, always smiling; she tends to blink a lot too. She has light brown hair that falls to her mid back, not that that matters. She ties it back all the time, so you never see it. Moving on to me next friend, Eddie. Eddie's a smooth talking, awesome smelling (it's not weird that I notice that. We're close. Get over it), soccer playing idiot. And we love him for it! He's like that one kid that could rule the world, if only he knew how to spell his middle name. Not that it matters. I'm always here to help him with (or do... which is what happen most of the time) his homework. I've known Eddie since first day of High School. I was just about to bash my head against the wall when he bumped into me, causing me to fall immediately, and be rushed to sick bay. He was nice about it though, all, "Oh, crap! I totally didn't see you!" This is exactly why I wanted to hit my head against the wall in the first place. No one so much as glanced at me all day (besides Carlie, who oddly enough keeps her eyes glued to me for most of the day). But after that, Ed felt sorry for me, and we started to hang out. I try to convince myself that people wanted me to be their friends too, and I just wasn't interested in being popular, but the truth is being Ed's friend can't make you king. Sigh. Alright, let's move on to my family, shall we? We'll start with my workaholic Father, George. George sells watches for a living. (Yes, watches.) But don't let that fool you; he makes more money in one week than you do in three years (depending on your pay, of course...). Let's just leave it at a simple "I'm rich". Tends to work for my Mother. Speaking of mother dearest, who prefers to be called by her real name, Helen, she doesn't work. At all. As a matter of fact, if she wasn't obsessed with cricket, I don't think she'd do anything. Ever. Now for my sister, Helena (pronounced Hell-ay-na since she started her third year at High School). She likes to socialize. Too much. So much, in fact, that she's even failing at breathing classes. (Joke... Ha ha.) But I'm serious. Ever since she got a boyfriend (Rick) she hasn't been concentrating on school work too much. Mum doesn't even care, because in her view of life, the woman stay home, basking in expensive wine, while men go out and work. Lucky for her Rick is loaded, or I'd've had some serious issues to bring up. All in all, my family doesn't get me. Now, for the girls that I kinda like. Let's start with Tresabelle. Her friends call her Trez (That means more than half the school). She's a perky blonde, you know, that classic bubbly girl that everyone (well, all the guys... Okay, a few girls, too) are pretty much head over heels for. That may have something to do with her name. In some language, it translates into something along the lines of "Very Beautiful", which Trez definitely was. Not much of a book reader, though. Trez and Lumière, who prefers just to be called Lume, are completely different. For one, Lume doesn't like the lime light (which totally confuses me, being her so beautiful and all), and keeps to herself. Also, unlike Trez, she reads a lot, and always gets the top scores in all of the classes I've ever been in with her. She's kinda snappish sometimes, but the rest of the time... with a mix of her long brownish black hair, and her bright blue eyes, she's unbelievable.
