[Max’s POV]
I drove in a tolerable silence as the radio softly played in the background, how many ways can I count of me being so damn pathetic. I looked at my watch 9:30am I was half a hour late and counting and I was stuck in traffic and to be honest I didn’t care, I was too preoccupied by yesterday’s events
Do I like Erick? I smacked my head against the steering wheel softly at the thought, he treated me shit most of the time but he always had this way of getting me to crawl back to him
“I’ve got some serious problems” I muttered to myself, I wasn’t supposed to be talking to Erick, he’s did a terrible thing and there I was kissing him and such. I was interrupted from my thoughts when my phone rang I checked the time before I picked up the phone 9:45am damn and I wasn't even close to school yet.
“Hey Darren” I smiled into the phone, I'm glad I was friends with Darren again, we talk like normal now as if nothing ever happened and I'm happy it’s like that now
“Hey man, where are you”
I groaned when I remembered my situation “Stuck in traffic, I'm like 20 minutes away”
“Oh not too bad” he murmured
“I’ve been 20 minutes away for the past hour”
“Oh damn”
“Yep” I sighed “where are you?”
“In class, Miss had to step out she forgot our papers”
“Oh…So what’s up?” I questioned, Darren wouldn’t risk getting caught just to call me
“I wanted to hear your voice” he whispered, I laughed uncomfortably and I think he sensed my awkwardness
“I’m just joking kid”
“Oh”
“What’s going on between you and Christopher?” wow he jumped straight into it
