Chapter 10- Dairy Queen

Cleo's P.O.V

I woke up and yawned. The dream I had last night, slowly faded from my memory until it was just a black blur. I sat up and stretched, again yawning. I looked to my right and was surprised to see that Travis was sleeping there instead of Katie. His tight black shirt was halfway up his body, so I got a clear view of his abs. Damn he has a sexy 6 pack. I realised sometime later that I was just starring at his abs. I mentally slapped my self. I was going to wake him up, to ask him why he was beside me, but when I looked at his face, I couldn't find my voice. He had sexy bed head, and he looked so peaceful, and relaxed. My eyes traveled down to his lips. I was so tempted to kiss him. Before I noticed, I was slowly leaning towards his mouth. I pecked him on the lips, but as I was pulling away, Travis' hands went around my waist and pulled me on top of him.

"Y-you're a-awake?" I stammered. I watched as his eyes slowly flickered open and his mouth slowly turned into a grin.

"I knew you couldn't resist me!" He said, smugly.

"Ugh." I rolled my eyes. Before I could move out of his grip, he rolled over and was now hovering above me. My heart started beating really fast, and my breathing came in a rush. I tried to control my self, but I couldn't. He was leaning down towards me, slowly so that I could have time to pull away if I wanted to, but the thing is, I didn't want to. I didn't want him to get off of me. His mouth was just inches from mine when the basement door opened. Before it was opened completely, he was already off me and sitting in a casual way. Standing on the other side of the door was none other then my newest best friend, and Lucas. I sat up.

Katie took one look at my flushed face and here eyes instantly narrowed.

"What were you two doing?" She asked, suspicious. She looked at Travis, Who by the way was looking nervous.

"I-erhmm...uhmm.. We were.. Uhmm" I tried to think of one of my many clever excuses, but I just couldn't. My mind was blank. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't think of something.

"we were... Just talking about stuff...and I... embarrassed Cleo. Yeah that's it" Travis said, fist scrambling to come up with something, then had a triumphant smile. Uh oh. Were screwed now. Katie knows that I don't blush when I get embarrassed. I told her myself.

"Liar. Cleo doesn't blush." Katie stated smugly.

"Well, what were you doing with Lucas?" I counter. Katie looked down at her feet, unsuccessfully trying to hide a blush. I realize this and I smirk.

"Well- we, uhmm err... we were- uhmm Just talking...about stuff..." She said. I noticed before that when ever Katie lies, she can't look you in the eye and she blushes. Right now, she's blushing, and looking at the floor, trying to hide her face.

"Katie, you're a horrible liar" I say, grinning while walking past her. "I'm going to take a shower right now." I inform them over my shoulder and headed upstairs.

I entered my room, and walked into my walk-in closet. I was surprised to see a set of clothes on the chair that was inside. They were black skinny jeans, and a black shirt that says, in hot pink, 'I'm not a bitch' on the front and 'I'm THE bitch' on the back. On the floor, beside the chair were a pair of black and pink converse. Lastly, there was a black, electric pink, and white studded belt. I took the clothes and went into the washroom.

After I was done taking a shower, I put on the stuff that Katie chose out for me. The shirt was tight, and it hugged my curves in the right places. It wasn't long, so when I put the belt on, you could clearly see the studs. I looked in the mirror and put in my contacts. Next, I applied my make up, just the way Katie showed me. I put on a light coat of black eye liner, and a little bit of mascara. Lastly, I applied a coat of clear lip gloss.
