Part 4 of 6
The screwed up memoirs of LeTori Crawford

Chapter 3

Although I am enjoying watching the build up of tension in my perverse family, I can't help but miss the days when the castle was once peaceful and calming.
Before all this began, the only inhabitants of the castle were myself, the only cousin I have that I truly get along with- Katy Crawford Junior, otherwise known as Baby K, and my grandfather.
The rest of the family would come and go when ever they were requested to keep up appearances or to sort out business deals for the family business.
On the night my grandfather was murdered the whole family was here because we were having a party to celebrate the end of year profits made by the family business.
What sickens me is that after that night the only family members who stayed for my grandfathers funeral were my father- who no doubt was there to make sure my grandfather was indeed dead and buried and not a phoenix likely to rise from the ashes- my cousin Baby K, her brother Simon and myself. The rest couldn't really be bothered and therefore they carried on with their own lives like nothing had happened.
What a closely knit family we are.

Mr Gracie- the Crawford families most relied upon employee- walked into the library, where he knows I spend most of my free time.
"Ah Miss LeTori." He smiles at me warmly.
I get up from my comfy window seat and place the large book- which I was absorbed in just moment before- on the table beside me, before looking into his light gray, blue eyes.
"Mr Gracie. I presume you have news for me." I smile knowingly at the man who was more like an uncle to me then my own Uncle.
"That I do. Jazz Maize is indeed having an Affair. Poor miss Abby." He tisked sympathetically while running his hand through his dark brown, grey tinted hair, no doubt once again questioning if there is any hope for the Crawford family at all.
I sigh heavily. He really should not pity people who deserve nothing less then the punishment they have earned.
"Gracie, don't worry so much about Abby, she is not as innocent and kind hearted as she leads everyone to believe."
Gracie gives me a puzzled look. "What do you know Tori?"
"Nothing, that's not important right know. I need to know who Jazz has been sleeping with."
He gives me a suspicious look before replying. "Well here's the shocking news..."
I smile knowingly before interrupting him. "It's a man isn't it?"
Now Gracie's face which was a light with mischief moments before, is now overcome by astonishment. "How in the hell did you know?"
I chuckle to my self and do not try one bit to hind my amusement. "Well because dear Gracie, I know..."
He sighs before showing me the same courtesy I did moments before, by interrupting me. "Yes, yes, yes. You know everything. Like I haven't heard that on countless occasions."
I chuckle once again. "Precisely. However this time I didn't know that for a fact. I just suspected. That handsome little devil is far too concerned with his looks for his own good. So much in fact that I couldn't help but be suspicious of his sexuality. Now seriously, who is it?"
Gracie smile's knowingly. "It's our pool boy. Um, what's his name. Ah..."
I smirk slightly. "Peter Montree."
"Ah yes, that young fellow."
"Thanks Gracie. One more thing, when exactly is Ash McKnight moving into the Castle?"
"He should be moved in by the end of the week. Peculiar boy that. He requested his own room. One would assume that he would want to be near his fiancé, but he won't have it."
Once I again I chuckle to myself at Gracie's inability to see things as anything else other then plan black or white.
"Gracie, Gracie, Gracie. When will you learn." I tisk in amusement as I make my way out of the library in search of Jazz.

At that point I knew that Ash was only marrying into our family for money, and although he had a physical attraction to Sarah, I also knew he didn't love her. The fact that he wanted a separate room to her only proved that to me.
However there was also something about Ash that I couldn't quite understand, which was surprise because I am exceptionally good at reading people and figuring out their intentions.
I knew that if I had any hope of figuring Ash out, I would need to get to know him better, I needed to figure out his weaknesses and what makes him tick, and I knew that, that would be easier when he was living under the same roof as me.
However I also needed to be focus and deal with one task at a time, and right now that was black mailing Jazz.
