Her bare feet lightly touched the ice cold tiles of the floor. Her head down, and her sister to her side. She held on to her sister's arm hopelessly. She was 11, and it was back when computers were old and tv's hardly started having color. She loved every aspect of it though. You could say she was just a young one, that didn't know much at all.

But, thats were you are wrong.

She was a very smart girl, and knew more than most of her age. For 11, she went to the store and always knew exact change before the ringer had even rung up her change. It was like she was abnormal somehow...

Her hands lightly touched the cold ice hard glass. It seemed so strong, yet so vulnerable. Her fingers ran over all the jewlery she could imagine. Necklaces, rings, bracelets, charms, etc.  It was a beautiful sight, yes indeed it was.

Her fingers also ran over, as she turned, more items such as food, clothes, and much, much more. This store was the center of everything in this small town. It had everything you needed. From items for the house, clothes that you need to go to the tiny school they had, food for everyone to eat, and more.

The best thing she liked abour this town though, is that everyone knew everybody in town. They were all friendly, yes. The 11 year old girl, still not knowing her name, abandoned her sister, knowing they would meet later.

Elizabeth, Elizabeth was her name. It suited her... Her dark brown hair, and brown eyes. Sometimes called Lizzie, her favorite nickname, or Beth, which she hated. Most all the time she was called Eliza. Like saying e-lie-za. That was also her favorite.

"Eliza, what are you doing just lazying around? Lets go, lets go!" Her sister called. She was passing by the jewlery, something caught her eye, and she lingered back for just a moment before picked it up and gently slipping it into her pocket.

She ran to her sister with full force, hoping not to get caught. She caught up and tried to catch her breath. She tried to make it look like she wasn't out of breath. "Lizzie, what took so long?"  Her sister mumbled still looking forward.

"Oh I was just caught looking at things..." Elizabeth said in a rasped whisper. They carried their bags quietly jumping over streams. The only sounds were the birds chirping, and their footsteps with an occasional water running.

Once they got to the old creaky stepped house they stopped right in front. It was a 3 bedroom, and 3 bath. Their parents had a bedroom and they each had their own. It was a grey wood house. Owned by only four people.

The girls walked up the creaky steps, each one creaking with a croooooaaaaaaaaakkkkkkk. Kory, Elizabeth's sister, opened the door. Elizabeth's hands tucked in her pockets trying to for she stole the ring now in her possesion. Kory sat the bags down on the semi-old table. They separated and went to their indivisual bedrooms for the rest of the night.
