Chapter Ten...

"I know this neat new club we can go to for teens" Noah said from the back.
"Okay" I agreed and Derrick shook his head in agreement. We heard a small growl from the back and then all are head swiveled towards Heathers belly. She gave a nervous laugh.
"My stomach is hungry" she said and we all laughed.
"Well go to some human restaurant" I said
"Burger King? They just got some vampire drinks in" Derrick suggested so we all nodded. "Noah remember how mom used to take us there just so we could play in the play area and she could watch T.V" I said laughing.
"Haha! Yeah" Noah said roaring with laughter at the memory. When we got there we piled in and ordered some food. Then we went and sat down. I stared open mouthed at what Heather got. "I didn't know Burger King had salads" I said astounded.
"I know. Its like having Vitamins at a crack house" Noah said and we laughed.
We all started laughing and got looks but didn't care. There was an older couple staring at us so a purposely picked up my clear glass. You could tell it had Blood in it and I held it up to my mouth. I drank it slowly my eyes locking with hers. Her face had pure disgust on it. I lowered my glass and licked my lips and she pursed her own lips and turned towards her husband. They clearly started talking about me. I turned and looked at Derrick who looked amused. "What" I asked a smile pulling on my lips.
"You are so immature" he said and I giggled. He leaned towards me and I leaned towards him. The moment would have been perfect but NO! Noah had to ruin it.
"Hey you guys look what I did with my straws" He said and we looked at him with mirrored irritation on are faces. He had the straws stuck on his fangs and looked like a walrus. It would have been funny in a whole different light. "Oh" he said seeing are looks. "Were you guys having a moment" Noah said pulling the straws out.
"No. We were just leaning in for no other reason" I said glaring.
"Well act like were not here" Noah said looking at Heather and then locking lips with her. The moment was ruined and now I was feeling nauseated by the sight of Noah making out with Heather. "Eww. Lets go" I said crawling out of the booth. Derrick chuckled following me out of the booth. Noah and Heather separated and followed us. We walked to the car and then drove to the club. There was a line but not that long so we went and waited. When we got in though it was awesome. We started dancing right away. Bodies shaking and grinding. It was awesome and so much fun. I was breathless when I finally left the dance floor. I walked over to the bar and slid into a seat. "Hi" I said greeting the bar tender. He nodded his head in the cool way that signaled hey.
While I was sitting and attractive guy came over and asked me to dance. I jumped up and decided to start round two. We went onto the dance floor and his hands found my waist automatically. When I was done dancing with him I floated outside the club for some fresh air. I leaned against the wall and took deep breaths. My silence was interrupted by little people. "Don't you see her outfit" One of them said and the other one nodded.
"She could be a model I mean like seriously" the one that nodded said.
"I wish I was like her" The first one said.
"I wish I was her" the second one said.
"Oh-My-GOD" the first one said my eyes were open staring at them.
"She knows were talking about her" the second one said. I did a little wave and they scurried away as fast as they could. I smiled and was so happy when Derrick came out looking for me. "There's a slow dance on and I think you owe me a dance" he said a smile on his beautiful face and a hand outstretched. I slowly reached for it and let him pull me inside. I felt my wall around my heart crumble as he pulled me onto the dance floor and his hands went around my waist pulling me close to him. My arms went around his neck and we locked eyes and danced. "You have beautiful eyes" he said and I would have blushed if I was human. "Thanks" I said back.
"Im happy we got to go out tonight. I mean I feel so lucky" he said and I giggled.
"Why" I asked because I had to ruin the moment. I couldn't believe myself. I didn't want to get hurt again. I didn't want that aching pain again. I couldn't take another broken heart. Ever since Luke. I missed him. The way he smiled the last time I saw him though he was so angry. What I would give to just see his beautiful smile again. "Because your beautiful, Intelligent and everything I have always wanted in a girl" he said braking me out of my painful memories. "The last guy I gave my heart to said that. He said he loved me. He said he would never hurt me. He did though. He broke my heart and..." I broke off my throat feeling tight and tears threatening to fall. I buried my face into his chest and he held onto me tightly. "Elizabeth" he said and I looked up.
