" Lorain!!" Shelly yelled. Shelly was one of my closest friends. She WAS on the cheerleading squad, but she quit. She said it was, and I quote, "Killing our minds" and " Filling our head with nonsense." I totally agreed with her, but I couldn't quit.
" Hey Shelly. What's up?" I asked.
" You'll never believe who was nominated for Homecoming Queen!" Shelly replied. " Go on, guess."
" Lorain, of course." Jen answered before I could.
" Of course." Shelly squealed. Jen and Shelly were my to bestest friends ever and right now they were acting like a bunch of..........girls.
" Sorry to brake up your fun, but Lor and I have to go to first period." Scott says. Jen and Shelly squeal about something having to do with make-up and run off. " Come on, Lor." We headed towards the library. We were TA's for first.(A/N: In case any of you don't know what a TA is, they're Teacher's Assistant) The library was always empty and Miss Leola was always off flirting with Mr. Kean. So we were basically alone, unfortunately.
" So Lor? Do you think it was ok to "forget" your equipment?" Scott asked sarcastically. He was standing right behind me, just stroking my hair.
" N-no, Scott. I-it wasn't ok." I replied. I know I'm stuttering, but Scott can be really scary when he's angry.
" No, it wasn't. So now....you have to be punished." Scott agreed. Then he slapped me. The force of the slap was so great, it knocked me down. He knelt over me and started pummeling me. I started crying and trying to protect myself like I always did, but like always I failed. He pummeled me until I was nearly unconscious. I felt him pick at my clothing. I tried to let myself slip into the greeting blackness that was about to overwhelm me, when suddenly.
" SCOTT EVANS!!!!! WHAT ON EARTH ARE YOU DOING?!?!?!"
