Run for your life.
I ran pushing everything in my path out of the way. I ignored the thorns and thick branches that roughly lashed against my legs. My heart was pounding. I knew that they were there behind me, following my every step, determined to kill me. I stop as I come to a dead end. This is it. I'm going to die. I look around looking for some kind of an exit. But there is nothing. I'm trapped, lost, and completely alone. How could such a perfect night turn into a complete nightmare. I stop and think of what happened just minutes ago.
I'm with my friend, Ally on a vacation in Los Angeles. We just had dinner, then my phone rings. I go outside and answer. "Hey sweetheart," my mom says. "Hi mom," I reply. "Is everything okay?" she asks. "We're fine mom," I say annoyed. "Okay, I just wanted to check in," she says. "I'll call you tomorrow, bye sweetie," she says and hangs up. I see something in the corner of my eye. I peer through the window. I gasp. There are 2 men in the hotel. They are tall and they have guns clutched in both hands. They have Ally, they put the gun to her head. I squeeze my eyes shut and cover my ears as the gun fires and I hear the drop of a body. I start crying uncontrollably. Then they see me. One man points at me and starts chasing after me. I rush down the stairs. My phone flies out of my pocket and shatters, but I keep running, trying to escape their grasp.
I still couldn't believe it. Ally was dead. It was all my fault. I should've helped her, but I was too shocked to do anything. I hear footsteps getting closer. "You shouldn't have run," a cruel voice says.
