OKay guys here are a few things on wattpad that i noticed in the 3 months i been here. I probably wouldn't consider them facts mostly my opinion. The following text isn't meant to insult any writers here, this is mostly for fun and i probably sure some people have noticed these things too...
20 things i noticed on wattpad...
1. Face it everyone! Ever since twilight came out EVERYONE wants to make a vampire/werewolf story! Yeah i know I'm such a two face because i too have 1 LOL but now i feel like abandoning it but some people actually like it so i might continue.
2. Mostly any person that comes across a story with the word "SEX" or "Lust" in a title, of course they would click it and check it out. That also goes for tags to.
3. Some people put "sex" when tagging their story because they know it will attract attention. It doesn't mean you guys are prevs, just like "romantic scenes".
4. Ok I understand why people are making vampire and werewolf stories like crazy but what's with people and making stories about " All Boy's Boarding School" or "Im going to a vampire Boarding School", or " 3 guys, All Girl's Boarding school". It's a good idea for a story but seriously EVERYBODY needs to do a story like that???
5. Okay here another story that people are always making. "Arranged marriages"??? I swear every time i go to "what's hot" or "what's new" there almost always have to be a story about someone being forced to marry another person.
And Guess What??...
You GUess it! I found at least 7 or 8 stories about a young girl being forced to marry a vampire or some kind of creature.
6. Ok another thing, have any of you noticed that people are always going to other people's profile saying "your stories are awesome read mine!!" or " I love you taste in music and your background, can you se mine??". Face it we all done it and its because we all want to get attention to our stories and be someone famous on wattpad. Most of the time people don't even read the story and and lie and say " I absolutely love this chapter, can you read mine??"
7. LONG TITLES WITH CAPS!! yeah i am always noticing people with long ass title's (sorry for language) and with caps so they attraction attention. I usually ignore those who do that because if their story is good they they shouldn't feel the need to try to make it famous. And have you noticed that people practically write the stories' summary in the title. Dude dont' give away what happens in the story in the title!!
Example: "I'm being forced to marry a vampire i met in a All boys boarding school but i love his brother that loves me too so what am i to do??? And oh yeah he's my step dad's son!!"
You see the problem??
8. People always put titles that basically gives away what happens in the story. and it always has to be something like: "I LOve HIM!!".
Ok to make a story short, say if there are two stories. One called "flowers in a field" and " I LOVE HIM HES HOT".
WHich story do you think will get people to read it?? Another thing that kind of annoys me. Williams Shakespeare made a famous play with a simple title "Romeo and JUliet".
I bet if someone made a story like that here they would call it:
" I LOVE MY ENEMY BUT WE DIE BECAUSE OF OUR LOVE!!!"
Even if it;s a good story, people won't read it unless it had a weird long title..

9. I noticed that mostly girls came here. And yet 2 of the creators of wattpad are guys LOL
10. Face it when people here start reading a great story that doesn't rush and has many similes and metaphors, people get bored and go read a story that had many problems and is about vampires or a hot player that falls in love for real.
Example: Good story: She skipped merrily down the field feeling the rush of wind across her face. She danced as if she was born to...
By then the reader gets bored and go read something like tis...
Other Story: OMGEEEE That BITCH!! I can't stand her!! MY life is ruined! I'm the ugliest gurl in the skewl n got not 1 friend dude!!
See the problem?
I know i done it once or twice too... LOL
11. I bet some of you didn't even want to read this because you think it's too long. LOL i bet some people stopped reading at 6.
12. Notice how if your someone who keeps commenting another person's story, that person would make that you her best friend here...
13.Don't you think it's funny how people put stuff like " DON"T READ THIS" because they think it would attract attention??

Like honestly, I won't read a story if the title gives away the whole freaking plot. I know tittles are hard to come up with (i personally suck at them) but still! To me, a crappy short tittle is better then a crappy long tittle. And also, i hate when I read a chapter, and then at the end its like, I need 25 Comments and 25 or i wont continue!!! If your willing to stop writing if people don't vote, then you probably don't like writing that much. I write for fun, not for votes. Yeh, I ask for votes and comments, but i don't demand them. Once I see that, i stop reading.

It's only acceptable If the plots believable and and it is written well.
