When I am editing the story I am going to remove all the Author's Notes to make it as authentic as possible, so everything thing I want to say is in here!

N.B. Please do not read if you have not read the whole story yet, it contains spoilers!

Acknowledgments

Firstly, I'd like to thank my wonderful friends Caitlin and Ciara for actually giving me the idea for the story, and the motivation to write. Without them, this story wouldn't even exist. And Ciara, thank you for naming the story, I couldn't have done it better myself!

Caitlin and Sarah, thank you for your continuous support throughout this story. If it wasn't for you two, I probably would've gave up long ago. And for helping me pick the cast list, I really appreciate it. Can you just imagine who I'd pick without your help?!

Finally, for anyone who has read this story, thank you - and I mean it! Even if you read the first part or two and gave up, thank you still. Thank you for giving it a chance. You have no idea how much even one vote means to me.

Inspiration

My main inspiration for this book is Private Peaceful by Michael Morpurgo. It is a novel about this boy called Tommo Peaceful and his life and his relationship with his brother Charlie. It's set around the First World War. I personally really enjoyed it and was a huge influence for this story.

This sounds a bit weird, but The Notebook inspired me for this story too. I read it quite recently, when I was writing like the twenty-fifth chapter of this book, but it kind of opened up a new window of my view on love. If I'm being honest, I used to not really believe in "love". I used to just see it as a thing that doesn't last, and when it ends there's just a bunch of whiney girls complaining about their ex-boyrfriend. I will admit I'm still a bit skeptical about this whole "love" thing, but maybe just not as much as I used to be. I realise it does exsist now - just not with thirteen year old girls.

Final inspiration is Twilight. It's another weird one. Since I'm only thirteen, there's only so far I could make their relationship go, if you get me, and Twilight taught me how they can be intimate without actually having sex.

Reasons and Explanations

Moral: Yes, this story does have a moral. The moral is basically - and it does say this in the epilogue - that, as long as they are truly sorry, nothing is ever really unforgivable. In no way in this story am I trying to say murder is acceptable, Zeke did get punished for what he did, but I'm just saying people can change and become better people. Grudges shouldn't be held forever.

It seems a bit ironic to punish someone for murder by murdering them is it not? Oh well, that's the Americans for you.

Chapter 23: Pain: This wasn't another one of those over-done chapters where the character gets drunk after getting hurt in a relationship. Well, technically it is, but it has a deeper meaning. Basically, the whole discovery about Zeke had hurt her so much she was willing to do the thing she hates most just to forget about him. It just shows how much she loved him and how much he hurt her.

Chapter 24: Goodbyes: The death of Zeke Riley, basically. Why did I kill him off? Well, because, as morbid as this will sound, I like tragic endings. I like endings that you don't expect and when you read them you go 'Wow,'. I call them "BOOM" endings. Any story that has a "boom" ending I will most likely love.

Another reason, life doesn't have "fairytale endings". You will get hurt, let's face it. Tragic endings are realistic. Not everyone gets out of life with complete happiness. I get sick of reading books where they live "happily ever after". Some of the most famous romance stories end tragicly (Romeo and Juilette, The Titanic and The Notebook), I guess mine just had to end tragicly too. My goal when writing my stories is to shock and entertain you, did it work?

Epilogue: When I first started this story, I planned for it to end at Chapter 29, but as I grew to know the characters I began to like them, and felt like Abby needed her happy ending. It mightn't have been with Zeke, but she deserved her happiness. Also, I thought it felt a little uncomplete leaving it with Zeke's death, so I wanted to finish it. I know the whole years later things is a bit over-done, but I just wanted to give Abby what she deserved. And, I didn't want her to leave her friends behind (especially Poddy) but I wanted her to start fresh.

Final Words

Yeah, so, here I am, finishing off my speech. I'm known to ramble. I just want to thank you. Yes, you. Even just giving this story a chance means so much. I used to cringe at the thought of people reading my stories, and I used to keep them tucked away in my computer for my eyes only, but I'm so glad you were able to enjoy this as much as I was. Every time a Wattpad story gets updated me and my friends talk about it the next day, and to think that maybe just one person might be doing that for mine, just makes me estatic!

I know my writing mighn't be as good as someone like XxSkater2Girl16xX or Reekles, and maybe my story isn't number one on the What's Hot list, but do you know what? I don't care! When I started this story, I didn't even think I would get thirty reads, never mind ten thousand! To some writers ten thousand reads might be nothing, but to me, even three reads means a lot! I hope you continue to enjoy my present and future stories. I'm not going anywhere just yet!

Thank you so much!
