Overview: For Jessalyn and her mom, moving to the small town of Avondale, California seemed like the perfect decision; they wanted the new scenery but what they really needed was a new start. Jessalyn Hartley had always been shy and one to keep to herself, but now, as she enters her final year of high school at Crestview High, she's more determined than ever to stay hidden in the shadows.However, all of that may change when she crosses paths with the supposed bad boy; Cason Michaels, and figures out that maybe she just had to meet the right person to break her out of her shell.

1. Can you tell me something about your personal life?

I am a pretty athletic person and, I would like to think that I am one of the best on my basketball team :)

2. From where did the inspiration of writing come from?

Honestly, Jessalyn is somewhat who I am.. like her personality. Also, I just love romance and teen books but,I also like to write with a bit of humor so, usually I just have random ideas pertaining to those areas and, then they just work out on paper :)

3. Cason Michaels is the perfect bad boy, people love him. How does that make you feel?

Even though he really isn't a bad boy, it makes me so HAPPY! I'm glad people enjoy the guy that I am writing about and, if he was real... i think a couple of people would be going after him ;)

4. Tell me more about your Wattpad journey?

When I started writing, I had only a little bit of support. When I finished up HSL it only had about 13,000 reads. Now my stories have more than 5,000,000 reads, which is absolutely insane and incredible. I just keep writing and hope people will enjoy it!

5. Have you ever felt apprehensive about your stories?

Now that my stories are popular, I get a little wary that people will breach the copyright they have, which has happened once or twice already. Also, I always am kind of worried when I write the chapters that people will think my writing is losing it's touch

6. Which traits do your characters take from you?

honestly, except for her anxiety, everything about jessalyn is me almost to a tee. I'm shy, i don't have a huge social circle, and i'm a big reader

7. What's your mantra of life?

hmm..i'd say do what makes you happy and not what makes the people around you happy. so, basically be true to yourself

9. You have mentioned on your profile your upcoming projects, can you give a little teaser what it is about?

Yes, in about three weeks i will be posting the first chapter of my next story Road Trip. It is a teen fiction/romance/humor story once again but, it will be short and only about 13 chapters. And this is a work in progress summary... The main character Aaryn and her two best friends Jace and Reese have just graduated high school and have been planning a road trip for their entire senior year. They would spend 10 days cruising around different cities, sleeping in tents, hitting up summer festivals and just having the time of their life before university in the fall. When Jace's older brother Mason is sent along for the ride, Aaryn has to face the guy that she really hoped to never see again
