John the Ripper
I stared at the large oak and with a quivering hand pressed the bell. A loud ding-dong sounded from inside and I heard the barking of a dog on the other side of the door.
After a few minutes the door swung open to reveal a middle aged blond haired woman. She scowled at me and snapped "Yes? What is it?"
"Excuse me, I am a reporter from the England's Sunday Times." I replied, "Please, can I interview a Miss Autumn Summers?" The woman glared at me and simply said, "Listen here... We've had reporters coming all week to ask about what happened at that ruddy school and we have turned everyone away. THAT INCLUDES YOU!"
She went to slam the door but then a small voice said from behind, "It's all right mom, I mean they're just gonna keep coming. Might as well get it over with."
The woman grunted and stepped aside, so that I could enter the house. I came through the doorway and saw a fifteen year old girl that had red hair. It looked as if it had different shades going through it, and she had a pale face that seemed to be in a perpetual frown.
She was holding the collar of a Doberman that was eyeing me ferociously. The woman came in and grabbed the collar of the dog; prepared to let go if I stepped over the line.
"I'm Autumn Summers." She said putting out her hand that was shaking. I took it and said, "Reporter Emma Smith." She nodded and loosened her grip on my hand.
The woman then said, "I'll put the dog outside. But if you do or say anything that hurts Autumn then I swear I will let her loose on you." The dog growled and reluctantly followed the woman.
The girl beckoned me into a plain room with only one armchair, a sofa, a pile of books and a wooden table with a glass case that had a jewelled knife on a cushion in it.
Autumn stared at the knife and I sat on the armchair while she sat on the sofa. She said "So, what do you want to know?"
I was bewildered. I didn't even think I would get as far as the door, because of the reporters who had been turned away and or mauled by a dog. I simply said "Just tell me what happened. Give me the story of what happened in that school."
Still staring at the knife she said "Alright, it started at Hilltop secondary school, in Whitechapel. It was a normal day, at least, that's what I thought..."
