Hot, hot, hot!

My hair blew around my face gently in the cool breeze. It was such a nice day, it was hot but not too hot, I watched the rabbits chasing each other around the small tree with the lime green leaves and the birds flying up and around. The parrot's bright colours contrasted against the almost still blue sky. I looked down at the pool which looked like a giant tub of tiny blue crystals sparkling brighter then anything.

School today, I'm excited I get to see Scott! I mean I get to talk to Kim and the girls. Dammit. Whenever there was a moment that I wasn't doing anything what he said on Friday would repeat itself until slowly something that had been trying to get my attention for a while slowly takes my thoughts away from him.

I'm so excited though he goes to MY school now, MINE! Not that I care or anything, heh. Okay, I have to stop thinking about how he goes to my school now but it's just so cool! But what if he doesn't want to talk to me, what if everything he said the other day was just some huge joke. My happy jumpy mood faded to a worried nervous one.

It was lunch and we were sitting in the sun. It was sooo nice! It's one of the best days so far this Spring. We didn't get hot days like this anymore; days where it wasn't boiling and we were dying with the heat.

"Are you gonna eat that Al? Cause if you aren't I will totally have it for you!" Kim said hopefully pointing to my hot dog.

I laughed.

"Sorry I'm hungry!"

She shrugged and went back to eating her fried rice. I smiled at her then looked up at the blue sky before grabbing my hot dog. I picked up the sauce I had got and split it over the sausage and spread it round. I frowned; the sauce didn't look like normal tomato sauce. I took a bite carefully then almost spat it back out. I got the wrong sauce! I got this other sauce which by the way was very bloody HOT! My face must've gone red because the girls were all looking at me and seeming very confused.

"Wrong s-sauce!" I finally sputtered after getting rid of the horrible taste in my mouth.

The girls laughed at me as I sat there drinking my milk as quick as I possibly could. Stupid hot sauce. Speaking of hot I had almost forgotten about Scott! I sat 2 seats behind him in class so of course I loved today since I got to stare at the back of his head without it being too obvious. He did turn around a few times and smile or wink at me. As soon as he turned back around from doing that I would blush and turn my attention back to my work. The same electric currents swam through me like I was a freaking whirlpool!

My thoughts went back to the hot dog. I pushed it towards Kim then stood up.

"Anyone want to come up and get a drink from the bubbler?" I asked them.

Kim and Marissa offered to come. I smiled down at Marissa; she was short but super pretty. I smiled at them and started walking up. They followed closely behind. We erupted into laughter as we walking up the hill when a medium-sized lizard ran in front of us making us scream. By the time we got to the top of hill we had recovered. A few girls were standing around - their eyes bright - chatting with huge smiles across their faces.

As we got close to them we could hear a bit of what they were saying.

"He is just so gorgeous, I wish he would notice me."

"Oh I know right I would kill for him."

"He looks absolutely delicious!"

"Too bad he apparently likes this other girl."

"Oh my gosh are you serious?"

"Yeah someone asked if he had a girlfriend and he said no but he was interested in someone he had known for ages."

"Dammit!" The other girls chorused together sounding disappointed.

My heart was racing again, I don't know why. Is it racing because apparently the girl he likes is someone he has known for ages? He's known me for ages! But that wouldn't happen. I wish it would. No, I wouldn't, one day I will give up trying to stop liking him so much.

A high pitched scream followed by a giggle made me, Kim and Marissa stop in our tracks. We looked to where the scream had come from and there Scott was taking off his shirt revealing a mouth watering six pack which looked even better since it was tan. My eyes almost bulged out of their sockets! My mouth simply hung open as I savoured the moment before he put his shirt back on. He looked around with a look of worry across his face. Well he had a look of worry across his face until after looking around his grey blue eyes which was like a fog I would happily get lost in settled on me. He beamed at me and waved. I blushed and quickly shut my mouth. I turned and continued walking to the bubblers ignoring the smirking looks I was receiving from Kim and Marissa.
