CHAPTER 3

I wake up at half past 5 and walk to the bathroom to wash my face and brush my teeth.

When I was done I went to the closet. I took off my clothes leaving my bra and panty on.

I slipped on a gym's short but before I put on my sweat shirt I walk over to the mirror.

I just remembered that I felt the same burning pain when I have the tattoo. I look on the mirror to see the mark.

But it still looks invincible. I swear that there's something new, I could feel it.

I trace the mark. Yup there is something else other than the crescent shape moon. It's more like there some sort of pointed shapes surrounding it now.

Okay, this is getting weirder by the second.

I shook my head and put on the sweat shirt. I brush my hair and put it up in a ponytail.

I then put on my running shoes.

I walk to the door but before my hand hit the door knob someone burst it open. I jump two feet behind.

"God, don't you know how to knock?" I put my hands over my chest to calm my heart down.

"How do you know we're gonna start early in the morning?" Lucifer asks.

I rolled my eyes at him. He didn't even say sorry for almost giving me a heart attack.

"Well it's either training - a. Before the school starts or, b. After the school ends or c. Before and after school. So take your pick."

He just nodded.

I sigh and got out of the room.

"Besides I usually run in the morning." I said closing the door behind me.

"So what are we going to do first?" I said turning around to face him.

"We're going to go the lake." He said then he walks ahead of me.

Fine, if you want to give me the cold shoulder then suit yourself.

"He really does make me feel welcome." I mumble to myself as I follow behind him.

He led me to some sort of park - like area where there are some people training with their mentors. Then we walk through the forest.

How come he doesn't just train me at that area like the other mentors?

I ran into him when he abruptly stops.

Oof.

His backside is as hard as a rock.

Damn.

"We're going to start with testing your ability." He said turning around to face me.

"Yeah sure. So do want me to call you sir or Mr. Lucifer or do you prefer Master Lucifer?" I crossed my arms over my chest.

"Let's just do it, we have no time to waste." He simply said.

Ugghh.

Get a grip Eliana. This will only take you 4 years. Yeah - 4 years with HIM.

I just nodded.

"Okay so first I want to see how far you can control your elements."

"And how would you do that?"

"Prepare yourself." He said ignoring my question.

"Prepare for what - "

I stop when I feel like I was being barbecued alive. But there was no source of fire in front of me or surrounding me.

"Ah shit. What the hell are you doing? Are you trying to burn me or something?"

"Focus Eliana. Call your elements to help you."

How can I focus when I feel fire licking my skin and deep into my bones?

I drop to my knees when I couldn't stand any longer.

The heat only intensifies.

"Arrghhhhh! Stop it!" I yelled.

"Get up Eliana." He roared.

"I can't." I really tried.

"Eliana get up and focus your strength within you." He shouted.

I finally manage to stand up. The heat is getting hotter by the second.

I close my eyes and focus on calling for water to help me.

It did come to me but I still could feel the heat only that it is not as hot as it was before.

"Use both of your elements!" he yelled. "Make them work together."

"Remember not everything is what it seems, you may feel it but it doesn't mean that it's real." he continues.

I concentrated on building a shield around me. And then I call onto the air and the water. That's when I felt the cool air and the warm water started to envelope me. But still it is not strong enough to completely extinguish the heat.

I feel my strength weakening. God this is draining my energy out of me.

"Eliana focus with your mind not with your body!" he shouted.

Could you please stop shouting at me?

"I'm trying." I gritted my teeth.

"Well try harder."

"I am."

"You're not trying hard enough!" he yelled back.

"F*** you!" I shouted.

That's when the heat stopped and I fell down on my knees.

He stands in front of me within seconds holding me up by my arms.

"Say that again and you'll regret it." He threatened.

He let go of me forcing me to fall back a few steps.

"What the hell is your problem?" I said rubbing on my arms where he just gripped hard.
