what happened to honesty these last days
everybody is covering their faults in the wrong ways

we built ourselves small shells to hide in whenever we make a mistake
denying that life is full with chances we might want to take

lying to impress others will change who we are
telling the truth will make us lighten like a star

people say that the truth shows in the eyes
but all we see when we look now is more lies
