"Oh, honey, she looks beautiful," my wife began. "I just don't remember her eyes being so dark."

"You were probably just stressed. Or maybe her eyes just changed. Did you know almost all babies are born with blue eyes? But they usually change color." I assured her.

She held our newborn baby in her arms, a smile on her face.

"My little Alexandra. I just love her so much," Stacy cooed.

The baby rested her head on Stacy's shoulder, staring at me. Then for a second, I swear I saw her eyes change to a rich crimson color. I rubbed my eyes, refusing to believe what I'd just seen. Her eyes were blue. A deep, ocean blue.

Jason and Stacy are a normal couple in their early thirties who just had a baby. But this baby, Alex, doesn't belong to them. Their baby was taken home by someone else.
