Please take a moment and read this from the author.
This is the first ever complete novel that I have written and it took me five weeks. This is a 230+K novel which translates to over 700 pages printed! Prophecy Book One: Revelation is the first in a five part series which book 1, 2 and 3 are completed and will be uploaded later. I am a Northwest girl, born and raised, and I take great offense to people stating that since Meyers wrote a book about vampires based in the Northwest that no one else can. Blah! I write about what I know, and Oregon is what I know from vacations. I started writing this book before reading twilight or anything by Meyers, infact, I started writing this on a whim from my 11 yr old niece that was bitching about having nothing to read during winter vacation. Knox and Tynan are extremely close to my heart and I am proud to share them with the world. If you would like a printed copy of any of my books message me and I can send you the link to my LULU.com store. I am wanting to hear feedback from people so please leave comments or message, I need all the feedback I can get since I am a new writer. So without further adue, let me introduce you to Tynan and Knox. Propehcy; Revelation The crescent moon hung unnaturally large in the black sky. Its scarce light barely illuminated enough to see the nose on my face, but I wasn't going to let it stop me. I stumbled while I ran through the woods, tripping over rocks and trees as I desperately tried to get away from the shadow stalking me. An eerie howl of laughter floated on the wind around me. However, when I turn to see where it's coming from I only see moving darkness. Hastily, I retreated backwards away from the moving darkness when my heel caught on something hard, and I started sliding backwards tumbling head over heels. My body slammed down into an out cropping of jagged rocks bordering the raging river. The water was mind numbingly cold and my body instantly started to slow as the blood seemed to freeze in my veins. I tried crossing the river in a feeble attempt to outrun the shadow, the water quickly rising to my waist as I trudged forward. The howling laughter danced on the wind, wrapping around me in a suffocating hug of fear. On the other side of the river was a tall sheer cliff. I frantically for something to grip onto but the sheer face offered nothing. The skin on my fingers slowly tore away as I clawed at the stone. Cornered, the moving darkness took the advantage and attacked. The darkness is substantial and its stone arms and legs wrapped around my body sinking both of us to the bottom of the river. It felt like my lungs were going burst from the lack of oxygen. The hammering of my heart was deafening, however I clearly hear the shadow's hypnotic laughter as his lips pressed against my ear. "I'm coming for you, Tynan." My eyes flew open and I desperately struggled to catch my breath. My hands clenched to the worn arm rest of the small puddle jumper of a plane that was making its final decent to the make-shift airport in Western Oregon. I released my death grip on the rests and pulled my hands over my face trying to calm myself down. This was all I didn't need, to freak out in front of the four other people on the plane. I wanted to close my eyes and pretend I was somewhere else, but every time I do I can feel his lips against my ear. Those haunting dreams are almost as bad as my last memory I have of my family. It's been more than a decade since I've seen them. I was cowardly, and took off in the middle of the night. Absently I rubbed the vertical scar on my wrist as the events replayed in my mind. I don't remember trying to kill myself, however I vividly remember the blood and pain, the glass everywhere and the look on each member of my family's face and the disappointment burning in their eyes. More than ten years ago I disappeared while my brother Ninian was supposed to be babysitting me. It was easier to get away from a house full of vampires than I had initially thought it was going to be. Being a hybrid, an abomination of nature, I have a natural defense that no other creature in the world can boast-- I have no scent. It wasn't that difficult of a decision, leaving my family, all I had to do was remember why I was leaving. Seeing their faces as they struggled to put me back together as I laid in a puddle of my own blood, wrists bleeding, a look of pain mixed with confusion on my face. A shiver raced down my spine. The look on each of their faces haunted me more than the dark shadow that stalks me nightly; my father frantically trying to close my wrists, my mother sobbing in the corner with Ninian's arms around her, Nevin being supported by his mate Tao, her tiny frame nearly consumed by his lanky body, and Callum supporting my head begging me to stay with him.
