THIRD PERSON VIEW.

[THE EVENING OF SUPERMAN'S ARRIVAL]

Superman had arrived at their hideout, via Kathy's directions, the evening prior and was met with various reactions. Kathy had acted pretty normal considering she had worked with him on numerous occassions, but she did show her appreciation and relief that he was here to help; Se'ir was quite excited as well, making sure he didn't have his hand broken when he and Superman shared a fist bump, then Nightwing followed with his initial formality but soon disposed of it once Superman referenced an inside joke the two shared regarding Bruce, it was laughter from then on. Moving on to our earth and air elementals, the two had had their mouths hanging open for quite a while till Kathy shook them out of their shock; Superman went up to them to offer his greetings and encouragement regarding the current sitution however, all attempts to console them for all they'd been through wasn't getting anywhere because they couldn't stop smiling to save their lives. It was honestly the happiest Ares had ever seen the both of them, they smiled so much, it hurt to watch their faces stretch to such an extent. Ares was in a corner, watching everyone quietly, not sure how to react just yet. He and Aphrodite had met Superman before but the last time Superman had seen Ares was when he had died in Aphrodite's arms that tragic night. Soon enough, Superman's eyes met with his and the two remained silent till Superman walked over to him, still unable to completely comphrend the fact that Ares was alive. Despite that, as he began to speak, Batman arrived from his evening patrol and only glanced in Superman's direction, signaling him to come with him. Superman had given his apologies to Ares for not being able to talk with him appropriately and followed Bruce to recieve a briefing about the situation and upcoming plans; all that eventually leading to Superman checking on Aphrodite with Batman and them all retiring to bed for the night, well almost all of them. Bruce continued to monitor the city, keep up with Commissioner Gordon's updates, check on Xenos' tracker and check on Aphrodite; sleep was unwelcome on his agenda.

[2 DAYS AFTER...]

The chest retrieved from Xenos' room landed on the table with a loud thud and Eric's eyes met those of Batman and Superman as they approached him.

"Unlock it." Batman ordered and Eric sighed.

"I'm not sure I know how. He's got a combination there and I don't think I can recall-" He was saying before Batman interrupted.

"Try all the combinations possible before I give it a go." He added threateningly before walking away, leaving Superman shaking his head and Eric sighing deeply.

"He hasn't changed a bit." Superman chuckled and turned to face Eric. "Please do try your best to open it, I don't want to have to use force on it till it's absolutely neccessary."

"Yes, sir." Eric replied and nervously began to try various combinations for the lock. He and Analise had been trying their very best to calm themselves down since his arrival and have found themselves failing at times. The pair had to take about 30mins to compose themselves immediately the man of steel entered the hideout. It was the ultimate fan-girl moment for the two, Eric losing his manly pride in the processs.

On the other hand, Superman was adapting to his environment, quickly mastering their names and the dynamics of their interactions with one another. He was glad to offer his help and bring the madman down and according to what Bruce had disccused with him, he wasn't just to be manhandled and tossed in a common jail. Superman had seen the destruction he was capable of when he had been watching the story break at the Daily Planet with Lois; the entire office had been frozen in their seats as they watched the horror unfold, some of them even throwing up or leaving the area. He found his fists clentching and his teeth gritting at the thought of that lunatic running free in Gotham and knew that Batman would need some assistance bringing him down, which was why he tried his best to arrive in town in time and had asked Diana and Hal [Wonder Woman and Green Lantern] to keep watch of the city. He was quickly broken out of his thoughts when Kathy called him.
