I Was Always Meant To Be Alone

"Hurry Up slow poke!" Sharon shouted from downstairs. 

"I'm coming!" I shouted back from my room while finishing my final touches for my eyeliner. 

I took my bag and wore my black converse and ran downstairs. 

"Took you long enough." Said Candy. 

"Well I'm sure all you girls are the same. Sharon took a whole hour to get ready this morning."Teased John. Sharon's twin brother. 

"Shut up J." Sharon hit him on the arm and everyone laughed. 

"Well we better get going if we want to get there before dark." Said Seth. 

"Pfft. Stop spoiling all the fun Seth!" Colin pouted. Oh My God. He looks so cute with that pout. 

"Uh, yeah I guess we should be going." I said lamely. Everyone got off the couch and head for the door. 

While we are here, let me introduce myself. My name is Ariella Conet Jhones. I'm 16 this year. You could say I am an orphan. My mum died in an accident last month and my dad left us when I was around 2.  

I heard from my cousin that goes to the same school as me that he went to another state and had a new family. 

I regret not asking my mum questions about my father before because now I have no way of knowing. 

Anyways, I live with my mum's best friend before she died. Her name is Rosaline but she prefers people to call her Rose or Rosy. 

I have a very cool gang that always stand by me. It consists of Sharon, Candy, Lily, Josh, John, Seth, Colin and me. I was best friends with Sharon and her twin John since we were in diapers. Seth is my brother and Josh is his best friend. Lily and Candy joined us when we started middle school. And Colin joined the gang right before Lily and Candy. Sharon, John, Lily and Candy are 16 while Seth, Josh and Colin are 17. 

Everyone was in pairs except me and Colin. Sharon with Josh, Lily with John, Candy with Seth. I had a crush on Colin since he joined the group. Only Sharon and john knew about this, I made then swear to not tell anyone.  

"Dude! I wanted to sit shotgun!" Whined Candy to Josh because she wanted to sit beside Seth. 

"Well I called it first!" Josh shouted back. 

"Guys stop being so immature!" shouted Sharon.  

"You are just PMS-ing that Josh doesn't want to sit with you!" Candy shouted back. 

"Shut up!"Sharon said. 

After a lot of bickering and shouting. Candy got to sit beside Seth in shotgun, Josh, Candy, Lily and John sat in the backseat. While me and Colin sat at the rear. 

If you haven't figured it out, we are going to camp at a spot just beside a very beautiful lake me and Seth found when we were small. And we were using Seth's 8-seater van that mum bought him before she passed away. 

We reached our spot and got out of the car along with our stuff and set up the camp. We have 3 tents and the girls will stay in one guys another and our stuff in the last. 

I saw Colin go towards the lake after we set up our stuff, so I followed him. 

"You know we are not supposed to go to the lake alone right?" I asked Colin when he was close enough to hear me. 

"Yeah, but I wanted some alone time." He answered me matter-of-factly. 

"Oh, I see. Am I bothering you?" I asked, unsure. 

"No it's fine." He answered me and turned around to face me when we reached the shore of the lake. 

"You look very beautiful under the moonlight." Colin said suddenly. 

"Uh...thank you" I said blushing. 

He chuckled. "You are cute when you blush." He added. 

"Oh. What's with all the questions?" I asked hiding my face behind my hair. He called me cute and beautiful. I can't wait to tell Sharon! 

"Nothing, just wanted to tell you that for very long." He answered starring into my eyes. He walked closer until there is only an inch between us. I felt my breath go fast and my heart nearly flying out of my ribcage from all this. 

"And I also wanted to do this for very long." He whispered before crashing his lips to mine. 

It took me a few seconds to recover from the shock and kiss him back. He was gentle at first, and then he got rougher. It's not those 'I want you now' kind of kiss though, it's more of an 'I can't get enough of you' kiss. 

He slide his tongue over my bottom lip, asking for permission and I granted it. His tongue explored my mouth and mine explored his. Our tongues fought for dominance and he let me win. 

Both of us were too caught up in the passion to notice a flash of light coming from the camp. We were too caught up to hear the bang that came. It was too late when we found out. It was too late to do anything already. 

Suddenly everything blacked out.
