Alpha Centauri: Earth is no longer capable of providing life for the masses. Natural disasters have brought on Pollution and Corruption. They are the only two resources left to exploit in a world convulsing from its death throes. It is decided that Batiman2 a planet orbiting Alpha Centauri B and M88.2 an as yet unnamed planet orbiting Alpha Centauri A could be the last best hope for mankind. Two five person teams are chosen and leave from an orbiting space station on two separate Ion powered recon ships. The mission will take forty years in stasis then after a six month recon mission another forty years will bring them back to earth.
The first book in a series follows the crew heading for Batiman2. Strange and wonderful things occur during this, their recon portion of the mission. Life does not always follow a set of rules, sometimes it can be wonderful.
