This is a Twilight Fanfiction. All of the characters are human, no vampires or werewolves. I hope you guys like it.
In this story Bella moves to Forks because her mother just died and now her father is abusive. Emmett is her brother and the only person she can really speak to. Her father doesn't mess with Emmett, only Bella, but Emmett can do nothing to assist because Bella won't allow him to. Emmett is very protective of Bella and doesn't let any guy look at her, let alone date her.
If you had asked me if I was pleased or distressed to be moving to Forks, I wouldn't have been able to give you an answer. Emmett talked about how our lives would change how Dad, Charlie, would be nicer and less violent in his old home town, but I don't believe it. Ever since my mom, Renee, died my Dad became...physical. He would find any excuse to 'punish' me. He never did anything to Emmett because Emmett was much larger than him.
Numerous times Emmett would try to prevent my Dad from hurting me, and my Dad realized Emmett was my protector. So now he would only hurt me when Emmett was gone. I told Emmett he still hurt me but I never said when. I don't want to make Emmett my personal bodyguard, he deserves his own life and I'm just holding him back.
Emmett's a senior this year only because he failed last year, due to my mother's death. I'm in 11th grade, two more years left for me before I can flee.
On the plain ride to Forks I sat with Emmett in couch while my dad rode 1st class, but I didn't mind. Any time away from my Dad was heaven, even school.
Emmett's head rested on my shoulder and eventually I heard his silent snores rack through his body. His abb's ripple a little under his tight navy blue T-shirt. Most people would take one gaze at Emmett and be so petrified from his magnitude that they would wet there pants. But when you get to know him, you know he is a big softy, a real patsy. He isn't fat, just buff, yet he eats like a fat person.
Just when I was beginning to drift of to sleep myself I felt something bump into my leg. I gasped and immediately looked around for the thing that hit me.
My gaze landed on a pair of dark crystal blue eyes. A guy stood there, he was wearing a loose navy blue T-shirt and had on black skinny jeans and dark blue converse. He looked really hot; his blond hair was pushed to side, making his look even sexier.
"I'm sorry. I was trying to get down the isle." He smiled seductively at me and I returned it. "My name is Mike Newton, what about you?"
"I'm Bella Swan, and its ok you can bump into me any day." Oh my gosh! Did I just say that out loud? He smiled and opened his mouth to speak again but someone interrupted him.
"If there's not a problem, I think you should get your miniature butt down the isle before I have to punt it there!" I hadn't even realized Emmett had woken up. Mike hurried down the isle and my face burned with embarrassment.
"Why do you always gotta go and do that Emmett? He seemed really nice!" I rested my head on his shoulder now and gazed up at his eyes. He knew I would never do anything I would regret and yet he wouldn't let any guy, other than him, even 10 feet near me.
"Bella." He sighed. "I'm not worried about you doing something wrong it's the guys. I am a guy, I know what's running threw there minds when you say something like 'you can bump into me any day.'" He mimicked my voice and snickered at my beet red face. I hadn't meant it like that.....
Luckily I didn't have to answer him because the intercom instructed us to fasten our seat belts and get ready for the landing. I always hated plan rides; I gripped onto Emmett's arm as the planes nose tilted to the ground pushing me an inch forward in my seat. Next stop, Forks my new home.
Our house was worse than I expected. The shutters bent down, the door was nearly off its hinges, the paint was more peeled off than it was on, and worst of all every room smelled like crap and pee.
Charlie clamed the main bedroom, so Emmett and I were left alone. Our rooms were identical, a small window looking out onto the parking lot, a small wooden dresser that smelled like my grandma's perfume, and a small wooden bed.
I told Emmett I was going to unpack and closed the door to my new room. I walked over to the bed and sat down. It sunk all the way to the floor and I could feel the hard wood threw the mattress, great it has no springs...just great. I pulled on a wool comforter my mom made me and let my heart broken tears lull me into a fitful sleep.
