hey! please leave comments! i really really need to know what u guys think!
This is here thanks to the amazing Mark0Polo who inspired me and thanks to Ladyoflitany (everyone's favourite lady) that made my day with her latest comment and i decided to post this. thanks!!! sincerely urs, AliceC xo Where Love lies... "Mommy," he yelped limping. The right paw of his front leg was hurting badly, but he tried to ignore it. "Mommy!!!" he called his mother some more. But Mommy was nowhere; it seemed that while she left he took the light of the day with her, because as he was limping, desperately calling her, darkness was creeping to him, scaring him even more. "Mommy..." the tiger cub moaned in pain and fell on the snowy ground, crying. He never actually understood what happened... They were hunting... um, well... His mom was hunting, she told him to not be followed, but he disobeyed, he wanted to see his mother in action. So he sneaked after her... he was so proud of himself that he managed to not get caught!... but he knew that the fact that the wind was blowing from the direction where his mother was heading helped him more than his childish skills of following. He watched as his mother, crouched getting ready to spring on the lonely deer, unknowing. Then she leapt with such great force that the cub remained in awe. He never saw his mother so beautifully strong and powerful. In that moment all he could think of was that he wanted to grow up as strong and as beautiful as his mother. His brown eyes widened as in two other leaps, the big tiger caught the deer and killed it by biting hard on its neck. Blood splashed on the white snowy ground. The deer was agonizing, trying to breathe and instead producing strange hoarse sounds. "MOMMY!!!! You killed it!!!!" the cub screamed from his place of hiding, running towards his mother and leaping on her back. He was so ecstatic that forgot the mother's command. "Adad!" she growled in disapproval, glaring at him. Adad lowered his head and moving into the killed deer he lied on his back, looking guilty. "I'm sorry, mama... I wanted to watch you hunt..." he said his voice almost a cry. His mother's eyes softened. "Someday I'll be as mighty as you are mama! I'll hunt and I'll be the most powerful, just like you!" he started throwing words and running around his mother, jumping and biting her, playing, happy he was forgiven. "Someday the hunters will get you and it won't be my fault," Bastt, his mother, replied stopping him by putting her heavy paw on his head. "Let's eat." She said and he almost purred with joy. Adad worshipped his mother. After the third bite in the wet, deliciously smelling meat of the young but already dead deer, Bastt pricked up her ears, stopping dead, not daring to breathe. The air had changed, and the wind stopped blowing, it was like it stopped to listen to whatever was out there, watching the cub and the mother eating their prey. "Um, mommy this yummy!" Adad said, his mouth full. "Adad!" Bastt hissed, silencing him in one second. He stared at her. he never saw his mother scared. She was the most fearless tiger he ever met or heard about. Bastt and her son had never been in actual danger because the tribe living on their territory worshiped tigers as Gods, they never dared to kill tigers, except for a day in the middle of the spring, when they would take the skin of the killed tiger and wear it during the religious processions and rituals... They were the Tiger Worshipping Tribe... But it was winter right then. She already knew their scent, their steps... and this menacing sound and smell weren't coming from the tribe living there for centuries... it tasted... danger. The cub however didn't get a thing, but he knew to trust his mother one hundred percent. So he froze in place, listening, sniffing, waiting... Bastt's heart began pounding faster, adrenaline coursing through her veins. She just caught a glimpse of a man, with a weapon in his hand. And she could smell more of them as the wind that woke up brought their scent to Bastt and her child that was getting scared by the anxious look in his mother's amber eyes. "Mama???" he whispered, coming closer, leaning into her, enjoying the strength emanating by her. it was soothing the panic building up in his heaving chest. "Adad... I want you to run when I say it... do you hear me? Adad?" she whispered back, not moving. "Yes..." "Be brave my son... I love you..." she whispered and giving him a nudge with her cold nose she pushed him towards the dense forest.
