CHAPTER 2

Class went by really slow. Geometry was not my favorite, no math class was, and it didn't help that I was too excited to pay attention to what the teacher was saying. I just wanted to get to lunch so I could see Matt and Jesse again. I really liked them and they seemed to like me. They didn't think I was weird or a freak like the kids at my old school did.

When the bell finally rang I jump out of my seat and practically ran out the door.

The cafeteria was packed. There were five food lines and all of them had lines that went almost to the door that I came in. I didn't know where Matt and Jesse were so I just got in a line. I figured I would find them in line or where the tables are. If not I would just meet them after school.

When I was about half way through the line, someone came up behind me and squeezed my sides making me screech.

When I turned around, I found Jesse and Matt were right behind me and smiling. "You guys have got to stop scaring!" I told them. I tried to keep a straight face but I couldn't. "Sorry sweetie, it's just too much fun," said Jesse. I smiled at them again and moved with the line.

I wasn't every hungry so I just got a bottle of water. The guys looked at funny when that was all I bought but said nothing. When the guys got there food I followed them to a table that sat at the back of the room in front of the windows. There was only one other person at the table, a girl who looked a lot like Jesse. Maybe she was his sister or maybe a cousin. I sat down by the girl and the guys sat on the opposite side.

"Hannah, this is my sister Ashley," Jesse smiled at his sister and added, "She's a freshman too." The look on Ashley's face told me that she didn't like it when her brother teased her about being a freshman. She smiled back at her brother, then kicked him under the table.

"OW!" Jesse yelled. "What was that for?" Ashley was trying not to laugh when she said, "That was for teasing me about being a freshmen. And you deserved it to. Mom told you not to tease me." "Sorry sis. I'll try to stop, but no guarantees." "Ok."

I was fun to watch them tease each other. I'm an only child so I don't know what it's like to have a brother tease you or look after you.

"So are you going to introduce your new friend to me or what?" Ashley asked her brother. Matt was the one who answered, "Ashley, this is Hannah. Hannah, this is Jesse's annoying little sister Ashley. There, now you two know each other." Matt was smiling, but not for long. Ashley kicked him in the leg to. Matt didn't say ow, but he rubbed his leg and threw a French Frye at her. When Ashley was about to throw it back I stopped her.

"Why don't we stop acting like 2 year olds and eat our lunch, ok?" I smiled at them and took a drink of my water. They all looked at me, then turned their attention to their food.

Most of lunch went by pretty quietly. Ashley would ask me a question every now and then, but the guys were quiet. When Ashley was finished I got up with her when she took her tray up. I did it because I had a question to ask her and I didn't want to ask her in front of the guys.

"Hey Ashley?" "Yeah," she said. "Does it bother you that your brother has a boyfriend?" She turned toward me and said, "Not really," we started walking back to the table and she continued. "I want my brother to be happy, and Matt seems to make him happy. I know all about my brother being bi and it doesn't bother me."

When we got back to the table it seemed the guys found something to do while we were gone. The guys were making out with each other, and it was really turning me on. They were all over each other, Matt had his hands buried in Jesse's hair, and Jesse had his arms wrapped around Matt's waist. They were so into their kissing that they didn't even notice when we sat down.

After a few minutes they pulled apart and looked at us. Ashley was looking out the window, and I was just looking at them. When I just kept staring Matt said, "Did you enjoy the show?" Jesse started to laugh and so did Matt. This was how it had started in third period, and I knew how it would end.

"I'm not going to answer that this time," I told them and that just made them laugh harder, and I stared to laugh too. "Aww come on Hannah," Matt said between laughing, "Why don't you give us an answer. It could get fun again."

I just sat there smiling and didn't answer. The guys looked at me and then stared at Ashley, who was staring at me. "What?" she looked at me then to her brother and Matt. Then she asked, "What do you mean by 'it could get fun again'" Crap, I thought. Why did she have to pay attention to that? My checks were on fire and I turned away from her star and looked at Matt. I was most definitely not going to answer that, and I didn't have to. Jesse answered for me.
