I lay on my mattress in the dark, damp basement of the house dreaming of the day when my prince charming shall come. School starts back up tomorrow and I’m going to be a senior. Hopefully this will be the year I finally have a boyfriend.

*Knock Knock*

“Kelly get up off your *** and come get your dinner,” screams my evil twin sister, Melanie.

She is pretty and has everything she wants including the hottest guy as her boyfriend.

I reluctantly go over to her and take my dinner. I look at it with disgust.

She slams the door and locks it.

If you’re wondering why she locked it is because my parents think I’ll steal my sister’s stuff. They also make me eat gross, cold microwavable meals while they are up there eating steaks. My sister gets everything she wants. I’m not even allowed to get a haircut I have to do it myself. I’m not allowed to wear make-up or get new clothes except for ugly thing she finds at good will, but Melanie’s allowed to. She gets to go shopping for designer clothes where ever she wants no matter the price. I have a phone though, but no one knows about it except for my best friend Dana who gave it to me so we could talk outside of the thirty minute lunch period. She pays for it because if her mom found out about my mom does to me my mom will kill me and I’m not joking she will literally kill me. I guess they only wanted one child. The only way I’m ever allowed out of my room, the basement, is to do chores or go to school.

I sit and eat my gross cold meal. It is old lunch meet, soggy bread, broccoli, and water. I throw my tray away in the trashcan in my room and curl up on my mattress. I can’t text Dana yet because my evil mom checks in on me after they finish eating their fancy dinner.

*The door opens*

Speak of the Devil.

“Remember school’s tomorrow so don’t forget to wake up at 4:00 pick out one of your ugly outfits grab a frozen waffle and start walking,” says my mom.

“Okay,” I say.

She leaves the door unlocked because she doesn’t want to get up early because of me, but I couldn’t leave if I wanted to because there is a security camera.

As soon as I hear her footsteps reach the top of the stairs I pull my phone out. Its is a cheap old phone, but at least it works.

-Hey

-Gtg I hve to wake up early since I hve to wlk.

-Oh ya srry bout that bye. Luv ya :)

I love Dana she is the nicest person. She likes me for who I am.

On that note I fall asleep.

The next morning.

4:00 A.M. what a drag.

I get out of bed and put my hair up in a ponytail and grab this ugly shirt that looks like someone threw up on it and a pair of shorts with a hole in it. Whatever, I think. One more year and I’m out…hopefully.

I eat my waffle, brush my teeth, and head out. I walk for ten miles arriving there at 7:00 right on time. I then head to my locker and then my first class. I am so thankful for my locker because my evil parents won’t buy me a backpack so I use a garbage bag. The sad thing is the people who work there think I’m just stubborn and won’ t bother to get a backpack or new clothes since my sister has everything. I wish I could tell them, but I’d be dead faster than you could say I’m sorry. I get in class and I see Dana. I’m so happy.

“Kelly!!!” she shouts.

“Dana!!!” I reply.

What a great start to the day.

What do you think??? Vote, comment, well you know the drill. Love, Georgia
