It’s been two days since the little incident back at the party and the grin that had been placed on my lips never swept off my face since Friday night. I was like on cloud 9, except it wasn’t anything that had to do with love or any of that lovey dovey crap. Instead, it had to do with the fact that I put Mr. I-think-I-am-too-good-for-anyone Demens and it felt so good.
The look on his face when I told him I’d practically got him at his own game must have been written down as one of the most memorable things to happen in history.
Seriously, it was priceless.
The whole time from when we were talking to us dancing, he thought he had me. He thought I was drunk and that he was going to get me into his bed so the next day he could go around telling everyone how he got ‘Parkers at her own game’ but I turned the tables out on him and he didn’t suspect a thing until I pulled reality right from under his feet and shoved it into his face.
Yeah, bitch Parkers isn’t that easy to get. I couldn’t help but laugh mischievously to myself. I wonder what school had to bring for me today. Definitely the look of despair from Derek and the looks of everyone at the bonfire in pure admiration.
Just how it used to be before he showed up.
That’s what you get when you challenge a girl at her own game. You get burned. Real bad.
Slipping myself out from under the covers of my bed, I happily skipped--something I was to never do after this morning--into the bathroom where I did my usual routine, wash face, brush teeth, take shower, etcetera before making my way back into my room where I walked into my closet, picking out the best outfit I thought would be perfect to wear today.
Deciding on a pair of skinny jeans, boots with studs on them and a light purple shirt that hung off my shoulder and lay perfectly hugging my waist with a few rips in it, laced together. It was hot if I say so myself.
Applying a light shade of makeup on my face, I grabbed my practically half empty bag and made my way downstairs, yelling out a quick goodbye and see you later before disappearing behind the front door and making my way to my car.
Turning off my car the second I pulled out into the schools parking lot, I slammed the door shut behind me, making my way to the front entrance of school when David Dubinsky’s voice filled my ears.
“Yo Parkers,” I scrunched my brows together to face him, seeing a smirk upon his lips, I knew this wasn’t going to be good. Rolling my eyes, I took one step forward before shifting my weight on my left hip, crossing my arms across my chest.
“What do want Dave?” I sighed, giving him a look of exasperation.
“Damn, feisty now are we?” He teased in a taunting tone--one he used on girls he hit on--as I merely rolled my eyes once more.
“No, I just don’t have time for assholes like you so if you could quicken this up so I can get to my locker, that’d be nice.”
“Since when are you in such a hurry to get to class?” He cocked a brow taking a few strides closer to me, his friends snickering close behind.
“Who said anything about class?” I shook my head in bewilderment. Is it really that possible for eighteen year olds to be so dumb?
“Oh cut the innocent act Parkers, we know what you really want. You want to get to class to get in a quick smooch with Demens, eh?” He cocked a brow, his lips twisted into a sick grin.
I shuddered. “Ew that’s disgusting. Why would you even say that?” I shot him a look of disbelief. He surely bust not be that stupid. . .
“I’m just stating the truth.” He shrugged.
‘What are you talking about? What truth?” Now, I was sure he’s lost his mind.
“You know exactly what I’m talking about. While you try to put on this act like you don’t mess with guys like us you turn around and fuck Demens?” He scoffed playfully. “That’s low Parkers, even for you.”
