*Grace's POV*

I tapped my pencil on my desk, bored to death by my history teacher. Who the hell cared what happened two hundred years ago? I sure didn't. Besides today was Friday and it was the last period of the day, so who was paying attention anyway. Besides Marcel, probably the biggest nerd in our grade. He was awkward, quiet, and shy. He wore thick, large-framed glasses that were the stereotypical "nerd" glasses. His style was different, but I found it super hot. Instead of the leather jacket, skinny jean, converse boy, he was the argyle sweaters, dress pants, and loafers boy. He was super smart, top of the junior class. He could have skipped a grade but wanted to stay with his class. Who knows why, he really only had two friends, one of which was his twin sister, Jenna, my best friend. I was his only other friend.

I glanced at Marcel, who sat to the left of me in this class. Today we was wearing khakis and a red dress shirt that was tucked in with the sleeves rolled up a little. He looked amazing and sexy. His hair fixed to perfection, his muscular forearms, his green orbs shielded by his glasses; I had always felt an attraction towards him...

I shook the thoughts from my head. I had a boyfriend. Caleb, one of the best athletes in our school. I couldn't be having fantasies about Marcel. Caleb was tan, had a good body, dark brown eyes, short, sandy blonde hair, and was a complete jock. I couldn't complain. He was anything a girl could want. Marcel, on the other hand, had dark, curly locks, large green eyes, a creamy skin tone, and more interested in the periodic table than catching a ball. They were completely opposite and I was already with Caleb. I made my decision between the two a long time ago, but sometimes I wondered if I'd chose the wrong one.

The bell rang and I began packing up my things. As I put my book back in my bag, I noticed my phone flashing. I had a text from Jenna.

It was a picture of Caleb kissing Molly, my ex-bestfriend. The date on the photo was from two days ago. "I thought you should know," the text read.

I quickly texted back "okay" and slung my bag over my shoulder, trying to hold back my tears. All of a sudden I heard pencils and erasers hit the floor. I turned around to see that my bag had hit all of Marcel's stuff off of his desk.

"I'm so sorry, Marcel!" I bent down and began picking up the rapidly, the knot in my stomach growing larger, making me want to burst into tears.

Marcel bent down next to me and grabbed hold of my hands. "Grace," he spoke softly. It wasn't his normal, nervous voice. It was comforting and gentle.

I looked up at him and blinked. A tear rolled down my cheek. I began to sob right there, right in front of Marcel. He pulled me into his arms and held me. He wasn't being his normally awkward self. He was soothing and comforting.

He rubbed my shoulder and whispered, "Shhhhhh, it's okay, Grace, you're okay, babe." His words calmed me down. My breaths became less shaky and the tears had slowed.

He cupped my chin between in his two large hands. His thumb brushed away a tear that was rolling down my cheek. "Don't cry, love," he begged. I looked up at him, staring into his beautiful eyes. They were filled with concern and worry.

"I'm sorry, Marcel," I sniffed, looking down again. I felt him press his soft lips to my forehead.

"Don't be," he whispered against my skin. "You shouldn't be sorry. He should be."

"How'd you know?" I asked, confused that he knew about Caleb cheating on me.

"Babe, I took the picture." He informed me, tucking a piece of my hair behind my ear. "I was walking Bella in the park and I saw them on the bench. I didn't know what to do with the picture until last night when I finally sent it to Jenna, knowing she would show you."
