Underneath my skin.
There's something there now.
There's something there under my skin.
It's as if something is crawling through my veins.
Through my very bones, up all the way to my brain.
Sometimes they even come out to play.
I'm really nervous, but I never sweat these days.
This isn't fun and games, there really is something beneath my skin.
My flesh doesn't feel like my own anymore.
Trapped inside this shell; feeding, but not for myself.
Don't you dare tell me that your life is a living hell.
Because that's what I am now.
A shell.
We all are.
A buddy of mine is missing an arm, but nobody cares.
It's not like we can even talk about it.
The past bothers me at times...
Fragments of the past come into my head.
When it happens, it hurts so much.
It hurts to remember what happened before I was dead.
I have pets now though.
I share everything with them.
I'm not sure what they were called...
Although, I call them my friends.
I call my friends "white gummies".
White gummies come out of me when I feed.
Sometimes when I sleep.
Sometimes when I'm close to another shell.
Anytime at all really.
I step on them by accident and they pop.
Green juice comes out, and it's fun to lick.
They're distracting sometimes.
Other times I'm too busy trying to eat.
It's all we do nowadays. Eat. Eat. Eat.
Hold that thought for a moment.
I hear something.
It's...
It's.
It's food!
They see me too, but I heard them alright.
I heard them say...
*male voice*: "Hey hey hey, HEY YOU, GET UP ON YOUR FEET."
*male voice*: "ANOTHER GROUP OF THOSE FUCKING WALKERS"
*female voice*: "I can't, I can't, I can't . I can't get up. I don't wanna do this anymore"
*male voice*: "C'MON NOW, stop crying and GET YOUR ASS UP"
*female voice*: "LEAVE ME ALONE, I CAN'T GET UP. just let me DIE HERE "
*male voice*: "I AIN'T gonna just leave ya here, YOU GOT THAT? NOW GET TO IT"
*male grunting* "they got me, they bit me in the damn shoulder..."
*male voice*: "please, just run. I'm done for anyway"
*male voice*: "YOU'RE GONNA GET US BOTH KI- ...."
*female screaming*
There was a girl with him.
At least one of them must have been a girl, cause I heard a scream.
Just the two of them.
How nice.
They must be friends.
Good thing I brought mine.
