Hi everyone! This is another story of mine, but honestly I will be writing it chapter by chapter, because I only truthfully have chapter one written down. So hopefully you all will love this story, like I do! I had to write a example of a mysterious magical story for my English class so yeah...And hey, read Behind Closed Doors, also by me, just thought I should add that little note in there.

Chapter 1

The feeling in the air is dark and haunting. Black of the night, finally making an appearance. Fog surrounded the streetlights, leaving things to ones imagination to come undone. The faster I seemed to walk, the longer the chill ran down my neck to the end of my spine. Something was following me, and I had no idea what it was. I was to terrified to turn around and meet me demise. My only focus was reaching my home, my warm safe home. I wanted to run into my room, under the covers and hide, wait out whatever this eerie feeling I was receiving. I spared a glance behind me, and instantly regretted it when I saw a shadow on the ground. I quickly turned and ran the rest of the way home.

When I made it, I ran all the way up the stairs taking two at a time, slammed my bedroom door when I got inside and dove for the covers. I was in such a haste I didn't even notice my mother giving me weird looks as I bounded up the stairs. After a few minutes, I decided to poke my head out of the covers, and silently screamed when I saw a woman dressed in jeans and a tshirt looking at me oddly, and currently sitting in my desk chair.

"Now really I think you're over reacting. That is no way to act to your new sage." The woman told me. My mouth was agape.

"Who are you? Why are you in my room? What do you want from me?" I questioned, reaching for something to defend myself.

"You can't hurt me, I'm already dead. Nothing can possibly ever hurt me again." The woman mentioned, looking down at her nails.

"D-dead?" I stuttered.

"Yes, dead. I told you that already. Why on earth did I get a sarge who understands nothing." The woman mumbled to herself.

"Um excuse me, but you can't be dead! I clearly see you, you are in my room. AND were you the one following me?" I asked, removing my blanket covers.

"Listen, I am dead. Clear as day. Dead. Dead. Dead. D-E-A-D. Dead. Get it? And yes I was following you." The woman replied to me standing up. I stared at her. I don't know why, but I felt myself get up from my bed and walk over to her. I quickly tried to swipe my hand through her, but I couldn't.

"See! You aren't dead." I told her. She rolled her eyes at me.

"You can't go through me, you're my sage, it's made that way."

"Bu-but, what is a sarge! I don't understand you. If you're a ghost why can I see you?" I asked.

"Alright, this is going to be difficult. You have always been able to see ghosts." She said.

"Nuh uh!"

"Uh huh!"

"Nuh uh!"

"Uh huh!"

"Nu uh!"

"Oh my god, I am not going to argue with you over this. You can clearly see me easily because you're my sage, and I'm obviously the first for you. And don't you dare ask me what a sage is again." The woman replied to me.

"But, I don't know what you're talking about." I replied. She sighed.

"I'm Catherine Darcy. I'm a ghost or spirit or whatever you chose to call me. A sage, which is you, was assigned to me, by the organization Keepers Inc. A sage is someone who helps you move on to the other world, to pass on. That's why you are given the gift to see spirits. You help the dead with whatever they need to move on." Catherine exlplained to me.

"I never heard of the Keepers Inc. organization." I told her.

"Sophie Coleman, you must have some idea. If not your name wouldn't be in the system." Catherine told me. I was shocked she knew my name.

"I don't! I really really don't." I exclaimed, Catherine sighed.

"We're going to have to go to the Keepers Inc mansion then. You clearly need to be explained to by the leader of the company, Luke Cain. He's a demon prince by the way." Catherine informed me.

"Demon!!" I yelled.

"Oops. I shouldn't have said anything. Ignore that. Now, we'll have to go to Keepers Inc, that way things will be explained better." Catherine said. I was still very very confused.

"How are we getting there then?" I qestioned sarcasticly.

"By driving there." Catherine replied in the same tone I used. I glared at her.

"My car isn't working, that's why I had to walk." I told her.

"Oh please, I can fix the thing." Catherine said, walking through my wall. I blinked a few times.

"Wait, get back here! My mom is going to see you." I said opening my door.

"No she won't, she can't see me. Now let's go to your car." Catherine said, floating down the stairs. I hope I'm not going insane.
