A Different Twilight? Chapter 1.

This story is actually not really a lot like the Twilight Series, I just guess it's kinda like it so I just called it a 'different twilight'. :/ It's kinda like a fan story or something...? Anyway, Kaden on the right! :)

**ATTENTION, MUST READ: I do not own anything having to do with the Twilight. All credit having to do with Twilight goes to Stephanie Meyer, original author of Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn. But yea, this is a Twilight Series based story.

THIS STORY IS A STORY OF A RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN TWO MEN. DO WHAT YOU WANT WITH THAT INFORMATION, JUST DON'T COMMENT WITH HATEFUL WORDS AGAINST GAY LOVE. I DON'T WELCOME IT, THANK YOU VERY MUCH. READ ON IF YOU DARE.**

I took my keys out of my pocket and unlocked the door to my house. "Mom! I'm here early!" I yelled, stepping in. I was making my way up the stairs when I heard her call after me.

"Kaden? Come to the kitchen sweet-stuff, I got to tell you something!" She yelled from the kitchen.

Uh oh, kitchen. That's strictly Mom's grounds, if she wants me in there then she's trying to soften me up for something I know is gonna kick me in the butt later. Wonder if I should call Dad over here before she drops the bomb... then again, she probably wouldn't like that... He hasn't been home in the last couple of months, I think they may have got in a fight or something.

I made my way into the kitchen hesitantly, looking at her behind the counter suspiciously. "Take a seat." She said smiling. I took a seat at the kitchen stool and dropped my back pack next to me.

"So, what's up?" I said, pointing at the soft oatmeal cookies.

"I just thought you'd like to have some cookies... " She said. I watched her intently, she had put her brown-blond hair into a bun, her side bangs messily brushed over her head, falling a little into her eyes. Her brown eyes looked at me happily, though there was something that disturbed her look, it almost seemed like she still had something to say. I furrowed my brow at the thought.

"Yea, you want to give me a cookie so you can drop a bomb on me. Mom, you can't always soften me up with a plate of cookies. Though yes, I am softened." I laughed.

"Well, sweetie...um, what do you think of Bill?" She asked. "Our neighbor. I was just wondering, were you comfortable having him around?"

"Sure, Mom." I said, dragging out the word. "Where are you going with this?" I said, taking a bite out of my cookie.

"Your father and I... we... I feel that, it may be best that we take some time—"

"What?! I'm not a kid, Mom, I know what you mean by 'time'!" I exploded. "A divorce? What, you started liking some other guy and got tired of Dad?" I growled. "I thought you were better Mom. Better than Sadie's parents." I shook my head at her. She palled at me. Who cares, you deserve every word shot at you!

"No! Kaden, sweetie, it's just... " She took a deep breath. "I love your father, really. But... " She looked down. "I think I love Bill too..."

I frowned at her. I never met my eyes with her, knowing that if I looked her way I'd see a heart breaking picture. "Kaden? Won't you look at me?" Her voice cracked. I could hear it, but I wouldn't see it. My mother in tears... I couldn't see it.

"How could you?" I said softly. My voice sounded broken, even to me. I took my bag from the kitchen floor and stomped my way up the stairs to my room. Once I arrived, I threw my backpack at my wall and grit my teeth as it smashed the hanging picture there. I punched the wall, my vision getting blurry from salty tears. My parents... Stupid! They do this behind my back, let it last a couple of months, then decide to tell me?!
