Meet Celeste... She has a problem. She has known four boys over the course of five years. And she has five months to decide who's the one before she heads off the high school.

Uh-oh...

...

The boys are all different. The relationships are all different. And nothing is ever as it seems. . . And that's where things begin to get complicated. Two of the boys she has known since she first moved to town. And the other two she met for the first time in Sixth and Seventh grade back in Middle School. And each one served a different purpose. First, she met Scott. The kind-hearted flirt that has somehow always been there when Celeste needed him the most. He is 'The Rebound.' Then there was Lawrence. The sexy-yet-dangerous (and above all tempting) jock that took an interest in Celeste when they reconnected after leaving Elementary and entering the summer before they would begin high school. Officially, he is 'The Boyfriend.' And in seventh grade, a boy named Devon moved across the street from her. He was funny, always open, and never complicated.  jock that took an interest in Celeste when they reconnected after leaving Elementary and entering the summer before they would begin high school. Officially, he is 'The Boyfriend.' And in seventh grade, a boy named Devon moved across the street from her. He was funny, always open, and never complicated. He became 'The Bestfriend.' They immediately hit it off, dated for a while, and then broke up. Because Celeste was in love with someone else. In sixth grade, the year after Celeste had moved, she was introduced to Toby. And she felt something. For two and a half years she didn't know what she felt for the then mop-top, lanky boy with an attitude. But after suffering a loss during the Christmas of Eighth grade, and mourning for three months, she knew. And suddenly, all of her problems went away. They were both older, more attractive and things were even more complicated. Everything about Toby was sensitive and complicated. Yet he still remained cute, tall, childish, and above all, a good weird. And even though they barely spoke, yet hung-out days on end, Celeste was happy. But does he want her? Or was he fighting to face his feelings? Maybe even afraid to be happy, and ,maybe, finally understood? So what does she choose? A happy commitment? A close and comfortable relationship? A lust-filled, tempting, and potentially dangerous pairing? Or something that could maybe last forever with the guy she loves when she doesn't know if  he'll ever love her back?

Celeste doesn't know what she wants. But she has five months to figure it out.

Beginning her journey filled with choices, she is determined to finally make one. Right or not. Even if she does get into trouble along the way. Her head fighting her heart, Celeste is stuck in one place. And quickly running out of time.

A story of betrayal, lust, connection, true-love, and a little bit of humour, The Five is all about how one boy and one choice may change your life. Maybe even change forever.
