Cookie Eating Zombies ~chapter 1~

"Raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!" screamed the creature that was once human as it came after Katie. Every time she looked back at it to see if she was succeeding in outrunning it - even though it is excruciatingly slow - she burst into tears and triped over her own feet because it is too ugly for her to handle. It's lips were torn off and one of the eyeballs was hanging from its eyeball cord dangling at its nose. The monster's stomache was ripped open and its intesins were wrapped around its body and its neck like some sick chocker. It only had three toes and five fingers (two on one hand and three on the other). Where its missing fingers and toes used to reside were only only open bloody gaps. Its clothes were bloody and torn and there were patches of skin green with a boiling oozing liquid coming from them.

"Stop! We used to be friends!" Katie yelled as the hideous creature tried to eat her.

"Give me cookie!" It came over to her slowly trying to reach for the chocolate chip cookie in her hand and eat her brain simultaneously.

Katie got up and ran away screaming, tripping every now and then. Soon the monster was far behind, moaning loud enough to wake the dead. "Why do they never attack any other country?" she wonered aloud. "Why not China or something?"

"Because all the fat people are in America" Jordan replied, walking swiftly beside her.

A loud moan was heard coming from the dark alleyway Katie and Jordan were walking by.

 "Eeep!" Katie jumped in surprise.

"Oh my God!" Jordan exclaimed. "Is that a zombie or. . . ."

Two naked zombies covered in blood and open bite marks walked out of the alleyway following the sound of the two friend's voices. Zombies are blind and can't feel anything, but they can hear.

 "Run!" Jordan said quietly.

The two teenagers ran through the deserted town looking for a safe place. It seemed like there wasn't one. Crashed cars were lining the steets, some flipped over and on fire. Windows everywhere were smashed and doors broken down. The streets were littered with trash and bodies. Zombies roamed the streets freely shambling over to the loudest sound they heard. It's been two days since this all started.

"Where can we go?" Katie asked. "What if we're the only ones left?"

"I don't know," Jordan replied. "We need to get some weapons, though."

"Guys," Kayla yelled, running towards her friends. she'd lost them the day before. "I thought I was the only one." She put her hands on her hips.

The girls all stood catching their breath. They knew it wasn't safe in the open, but where was safe? The girls had never hidden sucsessfull for long. The whole continent was in turmoil.

"So," Kayla finally said, "What next?"

"Well. . . first we need to find a safe-ish base where we can sleep and stuff, and then we need to find some weapons. Or maybe we can find the weapons first. . . . What do you guys think?" Jordan said.

"I think this is all insane!" Katie screamed.

"Shhh!" Jordan and Kayla quickly tried to shush her.

"No! I will not shut up! I don't want any of this to happen! This can't be real! The -- "

Jordan tuned out Katies rant as she noticed some of the zombies walking, limping, or crawling with no legs over to them.

 "Katie!"

Kayla face palmed at Katie's stupidity. "How about we run first? And this time we stay together no matter what."

The girls all ran ninja-like. They soon noticed they were trapped between zombies and a destroyed cafe. Without thinking, they ran towards the cafe. Within minutes the zombies had submerged. In a panic, Jordan hit a zombie hard with a broken chair leg. It's half eaten and rotten skull seamed to crack and the zombie fell to the ground dead-dead.

"Hit them over the head!" Jordan yelled to her friends. The other two went to grab chairs but a zombie got Katie first.

"Get out," Katie tried to yell. "While they're destracted!"

"Katie, nooo!" Jordan ran over to Katie and started smashing the heads of the zombie mob eating Katie.

Katie let out an agonizing, bloodcurling sceam, then yelled, "leave me!" She screamed again, coughing up blood. "I'm finished," she whispered.

A singer tear fell from Jordan's eye as she slowly backed away. One of the zombies was turning its attention to her.
